Morrison is nailed on for Fleetwood Town. Joey Barton is assembling the Mean Machine.

I don't think it was because Wilder felt he was not good enough, or else he would have never signed him back in July. He just didn't fit into our system and our midfield so was good and never had injuries or suspensions or lost form so he never got a look in.

My thoughts are that he offers something different, and has never had a chance with a run of games. If he did perhaps we could get that fairytale, if not he'll be off to play in the Uzbekistan second division next season.
He'll finish up at Barrow mate.

I don’t know what it takes for people to give up on this guy.

He seems to get Prem chance after Prem chance but never delivers.

Whatever the reason, and if it’s a personal one then I do feel for him, he just can’t be a Premier League footballer.

Everyone bangs on about his attitude but do you know what I just don't think he is that good. Its more than attitude. He may have a few flicks and tricks and been super talented 10 years ago.

He has barely played 5 games in a row at any level pretty much since he became a pro. He lacks discipline to do the basics, he does not do things that make you think wow...despite people going on about this magical ability...he is not a striker nor a midfielder and lacks fitness, drive and determination. More than this though for all those flaws if he was so good on the ball making dribbles, passes from deep, scoring goals but he is a just a very average player.

He has not even stood out in the games v Blackburn, Sunderland or Fylde.

I don't buy all this it's his attitude that holds him back. Its clearly much more. He'll end up League Two next year and then I feel in 2-3 years be in non league. I might be wrong.

In the last 6 years Morrison has seen 12 minutes of Premiership action.
Says it all.

Agreed, that's what I've been saying. He may have something, let's call it technique, but he has NEVER shown the range of skills needed to make it as a top flight footballer. It's not even like he exploded onto the scene (by which I mean the professional game) as a youngster and then faded - his hype was all based on his youth exploits and what people saw in training. From what I can tell his attitude hasn't even been bad while he's been on the Lane - in fact he seems a nice lad on the behind the scenes videos I've seen.

I don't think there is a footballer in there that needs to be brought out through careful man-management, I think that previously his skill on the ball has masked the fact that he doesn't have what it takes to be a senior footballer.

It was a punt, a cheap one. Not every signing is a cracker ffs.
It wasn’t a punt we had him on trial we saw him in training against our current players. He was deemed good enough then not now. Maybe we should have waited before offering a contract.

Absolutely spot on and I said much the same not long after we took him when a few were getting a bit giddy about what a great signing he was going to be .

As is often the case with this type of player , the word 'class' was heavily bandied around as if the ability to trap a football and deliver a pass with the outside of the boot are in themselves the hallmarks of a top quality footballer .

Sadly for a lot of players like him down the ages , it has been proven time and again that this is not the case and that many other factors are involved .

In Morrison's case , there was ample evidence that throughout his career there has been little or no end product to his play which demonstrates that , in simple terms , he's never been that good and nor will he ever be IMO .

Can't remember which game but he did an aerial dragback, not seen any other player do that, he's got the moves in contrast to what a lot of you are saying I just think the issues are elsewhere.

The fact he's not even made the bench this season and Tufty has let him go out on loan, tells you all you need to know about how this lad has trained, his attitude and as a result, Tufty's opinion.

Sad as he's just the type of player we need right now to give us a spark.

Anyone know where we can find a creative No 10 who has a track record of coming on as a sub and changing the direction of games?!?!?

ahhhh the old blame it on his attitude despite absolutely no noise coming out of anywhere to do with it.

we're 7th in the prem and if it wasnt for the occasional injury we wouldn't of changed the midfield at all, he was a cheap and risk free gamble just hasn't been able to get in the team. the players love him.

...and your point is what exactly?

The fact he's not featured, even on the bench, tells me that Tufty has seen enough to make a call. And unlike some round here at the moment, I trust Tufty 100%...

However, don't let that stop you making a vacuous and asinine point.

He's fucking rubbish Pal.

Uncle Neil and Dozy Rav in a two man mission to save Boro by simultaneously relegating the Pork, with a little help from Scouse Rick and his trusty rulebook.

Sounds like a zany buddy-cop movie and I’ve got the popcorn out and am all in...

Ravel Morrison: Former Manchester United prodigy on career regrets, 'thieving boots' and wanting to play for Arsenal

Can't help thinking its all talk. I hate seeing talent wasted, but I can't see much changing with him. He ll be doing the same interview next season.

Maybe if he wanted to change the other 10% instead, he'd still have a brilliant career ahead of him.
