Sorry, meant to quote Woodwaard. He said that Adkins wouldn't work with a dof which is contrary to my understanding. Adkins' feedback has actually prompted moves in that direction

I really don't see the logic in sacking Adkins. Going to take a massive chunk of the budget up paying him off to get in someone else who isn't any better and seems to be the total opposite of the direction we've been trying to move in for years with attractive football.

My position for a while has been as follows. In an ideal world (yes I know) the board would have been given some idea of an Adkins player wishlist for next season. If it's of the quality of the signings he has made so far, then he's gone before he gets the chance to make things worse. If that list looks good going forward, then lets give it a go and see where we are at Christmas.

If he does go, then it is imperative that the next choice is as right as it can possibly be, and that they are backed by the Board. One thing I do agree with is that we can't just keep sacking and paying off Managers.

If you just step back and look at the bigger picture for a moment. A premier league sized club ruthless delegating for 5 seasons on how best to get out of league division three.

Investing millions in Desso pitches, one right full back, another 8 million each for the owners down the drain just this season. All the while teams like Rotherham, Donny, Yeovil, MK Dons all stride up no problem at all. It's actually laughable in a horrible sort of way.

If you had worked at another club where the DoF had either made your life difficult or had been less than supportive, then you would probably want a clause in your contract to state that you wouldn't work under such an arrangement
