We are nailed on to drop points at Rochdale. There is simply nothing more inevitable in the world, then we'll start talking about avoiding relegation again

I don't know about anyone else, but I've had reservations about even making the play-offs after we lost those 2 home games to Bury and Colchester. Alarm bells were ringing after Gillingham and then after we'd beaten Swindon away I really thought we would be up there challenging. But then after those 2 games, I realised we were nowhere near as good as I'd thought we were and realised we were in for a bumpy ride.
I take no pleasure in being proved right. Right now I think it would be a bonus to be involved in the play-offs, never mind win them.
The players dont give a shit thats whyHad the same thought after that double-whammy. Before the Bury home game it was all knock these two over, 6 easy points in the bag and we'll be top. Intermittently since we've had a pair of 'easy' looking games or a run of games where they've looked winable and we've blown it. We had same before the Bury away game last week, beat Bury and knock Vale over and we'll be right in the play-off mix, even Edwards was saying the same before the match at Gigg Lane and what happens they were dreadful and lost.
Take out the run in August and December and we are a really poor side that would be in the relegation mix.
YepWould be interesting if burton had a meltdown and finish the season in the playoffs with us, can you imagine a playoff final SU v Burton.![]()
Playoffs is still a long shot for me. People say it is only 4 points (but it is effectively 5 really) and games are running out. We have to play some of the better sides in the league at home (where our record is really poor) in Burton, Walsall and Gillingham. We have to go and get 4 points from Rochdale and Burton to just stay in touch before Millwall. If we fail to do that and lose at Millwall then we can start to plan for next season for me. More than that we have not shown we can put a run of 3 or 4 wins together.
Technically we will need three draws and two penalty shoot out wins.
