Heyup Kenty, great to here from you, I hope you and yours are keeping well mate.
Yes I’m still in Chesterfield. I’m officially retired now but I still keep my hand in helping out the elderly locals that I used to look after. I think most of them would stop using their computers if I wasn’t around for them, but I don’t do call outs. Just a bit of IT help online like I did with you or over the phone for free, it keeps the old brain active.
Because of the advanced age of the people that I stayed in contact with, for obvious reasons I’m gradually getting less and less calls for help, and so sadly I would envisage they’ll come a time it’ll stop altogether, but I suppose it’s been a good way to wind down my working career.
Anyway all the best mate and regards to your good lady.
Fuckin hell. The last old skool game at the Lane. Sometimes you're confronted with some memory of days gone by at just the right moment. A tear in my eye. Cheers me owd.Kop Last home game of the season V Norwich May 91 View attachment 45273

My first away trip outside Sheffield - my mum made me wear a jacket and tie!
Stood on open kop - now their end. Munks hit the woodwork twice if my memory serves me right, as we were robbed once more!
David Cross (Coventry) and John Connaughton on the left photo. Len Badger is the Blade grabbing Cross' neck
Ted MacDougall (West Ham) and Tom McAlisterSpot on. Thought Connaughton might be a challenge. This match was 1973-74 on Nov 24th at Coventry (lost 3-1).We'd lost Tom McAlister 5 weeks earlier. Broken leg home to Man City. Sad.
Try this one.

2-0 win v Norwich, Agana with both goals. Remember this day not just for the obvious reason of there being no roof, but more for burning my head quite badly in the blazing sun.

Don’t know but he had some bottle fronting Eddie up.Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes (attendance was 32,867).
I knew Asa Hartford (to the right), but if you know the other two, that's impressive.
The 0-0 draw ended a four match winning run from the start of the season, but after WBA we went on to win the next three....and managed W 8 D 2 L 0 from the first ten. We all know what happened next.
Next..name the referee!!

Pot shots from distance are a waste of possession, we just remember the 1 in 100 that goes in because they look good. And just because you got a good end result, it doesn't justify a poor decision.
