Rooks has kindly given me his big book of press cuttings for our photos and match reports from 1955 to 1969. I will post them in here now and then over a long period of time.

I will start off with photos I have not seen before. The first one is Alan Woodward jumping for joy after giving us the lead atWendy6667Woody.webp the S6 derby match in September 1966.

Barry Wagstaff and TC's goals in the 3-2 win against Spurs in February 1968.

One of my favourite Blades watching experiences of all time .

There have been very few occasions when I have left the Lane feeling so elated and couldn’t wait to get back to my local pub to tell the football enthusiasts there about what I had just witnessed , especially the performance of an 18 year old we had just signed .

Unfortunately , they were overwhelmingly Wendies so it went down like a lead balloon .

Which added to the pleasure . :)
