Great match against Spurs. great comeback after being 2-0 down.good crowd of 31k if my memory serves me right.
Was that match an Easter Bank Holiday .

If it’s the same one I was stood on the Kop and the terrace was heaving.

Looking again at this photo I've realised I'm more than likely on it, together with my grandfather and his youngest son, my uncle and avatar.
We stood on that terrace opposite side of pitch to the players entrance around the half way line as was my grandads wont, and should be between Joe Shaw and left side of photo, but not under cover.
I was twelve at the time, a grand day out, apart from the score and thunderstorm.
Inter dispersed with some sight seeing, tea/evening meal, Lyons Corner House then to see Guys and Dolls at the London Colosseum and midnight train, St Pancras to Sheffield.
Feet ached so took my shoes off on train but half asleep struggled to put them back on as we approached Midland station, just made it to get off train around four o'clock Sunday morning.
Trams ran every hour through the early hours in those days, at least to Intake they did, but we just missed one so stood top of Commercial St for almost an hour. Surprised how many people were awaiting trams at that time of day after tasting the delights of a 1954 Satdi night out in town.
Eventually goroff tram at Rex cinema and walked up Hollinsend Rd, gawd was I glad to see mi bed that morning.
“Satdi”. Love it. I adore to see our accent and dialect in written form, doesn’t happen enough.

I recon there are a fine set of chaps on this S2 4SU, thank you to all who contribute, + Seasonal Greeting to all for 2022, ah! that's got that out the way for this year, phew!!!!
Agree, now't wrong wi' a bit of regional dialect, in fact, to me, it enhances life in general, helping to define who we are and where we're from and we all should be proud of that.

'Shepard's' Flats, literally stacked up like a house of cards.
Concrete slabs, manufactured on site, stacked, by sitting on metal brackets, if memory serves.
I didn't work on the job, passed on quite a regular basis whilst the flats were under construction with my info being either read or what filters down in most industries.
Be interested if any one has better info.
Domino never went in, Prince of Wales (amphibian & Talking multicoloured feathered bird, now) was my port of call at that time.

Bolton beat us 5-1 at the Lane. Woody scored for us. Yes, conceded 5 v Arsenal, Bolton and Sunderland
I remember that run of games, I went to the home games against Arsenal & Bolton. My Wednesday supporting mates at school thought they were funny with the quip ‘what’s Sheff Utd’s new phone number? (Answer) 051551’ - gits!
