I know it's in our hands. But orient need to win and they will be up for it this Saturday. If we lose then I really fear for my team. It may be a bit premature, but I'm quite worried now UTB

Even we couldn't fail when nine points clear with two to play, it doesn't add up.

Why worry? Just assume (like I do) that this club will be in Division 3 again next season. If we do break with tradition and get promoted then view it as a pleasant surprise.

We have to imagine at worst, MK Dons will get a draw. Do they have any Blades blood in them to fuck it up?

Well that is a saving grace. My fear was two defeats and Rochdale taking six points! We must win at Orient and hope Brizzle get at least a point at Chesterfield. To get up we have to get Swindon in the playoffs. Would say at the moment the form is MKDons, Chesterfield, Swindon and the Blades. Haven't looked what it actually is.

Just sussed it. It is

MKD W7 D2 L1
Chesssie W6 D2 L2
Swindon W5 D1 L4
Blades W4 D4 L2

And you'd be right.

The only good news is that Rochdale's form is even worse than ours.

I'm not worried about Rochdale, but avoiding MK Dons in the play-off semis is important.

We have now reached the stage where we are worried about being overhauled by a team who had a gate of 1914 tonight.

I think the low for me this season is when people compare us to teams like Rochdale and say things like, You can't win them all. Even Rochdale couldn't beat (X)

I find all this pathetic to be honest.
Why is it important to be in the playoffs if we are this shit! :?
If we can't cope with an odds on certainty to get in - how could we cope when it's back to square one against the least worst teams! :?
It's not really a lottery you know.
There's no tickets to check - you have to do it on the pitch for 3 games.

Dear The Footballing Gods. I for one don’t care any more. After Walsall, Chelsea, Palace, Wigan, Burnley Wolves and Huddersfield, failure to qualify for a Play-Off competition we’re unlikely to win won’t even register on the disappointment scale. In fact, many fans will see avoiding another trip to Wembley as a blessing. So go on, do your worst. See if we care.

Indeed. We are watching with interest.
You've run out of ideas lads. I'll admit losing our 4th playoff final after a 22 kick penalty shoot out was quite inspired, especially after you co-ordinated it somehow getting to sudden death after they missed their first 3. But quite frankly Yeovil the other year was a poor effort, which we all saw coming.

I'm feeling your hearts are just not in it any more with us.

If Chesterfield draw against Bristol City, we lose to Orient and Rochdale beat MK Dons, it will leave Rochdale three points behind both us and Chesterfield, with a slightly better goal difference than us and a similar goal difference to Chesterfield

Under that scenario, a draw on the last day would send both us and Chessie into the Play offs at the expense of Rochdale, regardless of their result at Barnsley. However, in that scenario a draw would mean we finish sixth and play MK Dons.

Chesterfield would be totally happy to sit back and play out the draw, but would we?

Rochdale are six points behind with two games to play and a goal difference one worse than us.

The Footballing Gods haven't gone away you know.

Without looking, I'm pretty sure that if we lost our last two games and Rochdale won theirs, they would finish with a better goal difference than us
