A lot of positives to take from that, Forest fired the ball into the are twice and scored with big forwards, otherwise we mastered them for most of the game. Lowe is a liability, and barring an injury crisis should never start another game. We cannot win games scoring from midfield. Hamer, very cool player. We have a vision of what Hecky wants to achieve. I hope he gets the support he needs. Forest will be in the mix at the end, for all their money. Give me Hecky over Mr Ugly any day. When we play them again, we'll thrash em. Forest are all GibbsWhite, without him, and maybe Johnson, they're rubbish. We thought our defence was OK, I'm beginning to wonder...but seeing this improvement, I think we'll be ok in the long run.

Shake your coconuts, people down hearted about that performance?? Mind boggling. The lads gave everything tonight, if not for an air kick and….. let’s start the realism list, a team of players that haven’t gelled, are not fully match fit, includes players that wouldn’t have played championship football last year and isn’t yet complete we’ve been narrowly beaten by relegation rivals. The board (whoever gets transfers over line) is to blame no one else. 4 points minimum if we’d have pulled our fingers out.

Gutted to have thrown that away with some basic defensive errors but more positives to take compared to last week.

Souza going off hurt us.

We are desperate for some quality up top.

Osborn looked better at wing-back (but that's not saying much).

Forest have spent a ridiculous amount since promotion but looked no better than our patched up team.

That team plus McBurnie, plus Baldock, starts to look like a real team. Hamer was really good even without the wonder goal, Souza very encouraging too. Things fell apart for us when we start having to make subs.

A loss is a loss but, yeah, I'm actually taking some positives from that one instead of feeling like we might as well not have turned up like last week.

Not sure what this new defence coach is telling the back 3 they were bobar. Good game from Osborn to say he was out of position too he hardly put a foot wrong. Egan is never Captain material too busy chewing gum to be talking to his defence. Lowe had a mare Larucci did ok I thought. Midfield looked a lot better today but where's Slimane gone ? Up front poor kids running their bollocks off need some help but they are all we have at the moment.

Better than expected but you pay £5 million for a 6 foot 3 centre back good in the air and we never bring him on. The cross for the second goal would have been headed away by Trusty if he'd been on the pitch. Two goals conceded by our inability to deal with a ball in the air at the back again. A weakness we'd had for some time yet one of the solutions is sat on the bench. Frustrating because that was a decent performance considering the team we put out.

I was surprised how poor Forest were, considering the amount of money they've spent. Their defence is shocking, definitely worse than ours.

Johnson is massively over rated. He runs fast and that's about it. Forest fans make out that he's Mbappe and the media talk about his Dad like he was Pele.

Back on the train, thought we deserved more than we got.

Support Hecky and we’ve got a fighting chance.
All about opinions, but I don't see either the manager or owner giving us a fighting chance of staying up.

Now what I do see is that if Hamer keeps scoring goals like that, is that he could bring a good price at the end of the season, hoping for the same with Anel and maybe one other, possibly two?

After that rebuild time.

Cruel game that Egan at fault for both goals. Oh for a centre half that will go through a brick wall to get his head to the ball
Metal we have needed a big fuck off center half that wins everything in the air for years. Egan just isn't physical enough for this level. We need a 6ft 4in ce tre back who dominates and can play a bit

The problem with bringing McBurnie back in is that all we'll do is hoof it up to him where he flicks it on to no one. We played better despite him. The service to Osula and Traore may have been limited, but it was to their feet.

Agree with this. Why not sacrifice a knackered striker for Trusty for the last 10 and take the point?

That's three crap goals conceded through amateur defending. Does Egan know he wears the Captain's armband, because he needs to start leading by example.
I’m coming to the conclusion that O’Connell brought out the best in him. Not sure he’s been so good without him

Freckleton was the stand out prospect in pre-season and didn't put a foot wrong, and yet he can't even make the bench.

Come on, that sort of decision making would take vision and adventure. You can’t expect Hecky to think outside the box. It takes him 20 minutes of discussion to make a like for like substitution. Managers like Hecky have to reach a crisis before they try something every fan can see has promise.

At least tonight he may finally have realised Lowe shouldn’t be playing for us, but I’m not holding my breath.

I th

I thought Robbo was magnificent to be fair
Put Robbo at LWB (he has played there in his career) and Trusty at LCB or even bench Egan for Trusty.
Fuck Egan being captain , he isn't capable in his own position

It's frustrating how inconsistent they are with their decision making. One week it's a penalty, the next week it isn't.
It’s not just that. What about yellow cards for chinning at ref. Norwood got carded first time he questioned ref but MGW chelped at ref numerous times & at one point pointed at ref & looked like he called him a wanker but no card.
