Tbh, Ive always loved the FA Cup and it is a dream of mine to see Utd win it one day, but let's be honest, with Man City and Man Utd still the draw, we would have probably had to fit in a very long trip to Wembley to probably get beaten, in between keeping on playing on a 2 or 3 league games a week schedule in these unprecedented times. It might have seen our league form really go down the pan.
After the lockdown, the FA Cup became more of an hindrance to us and the knock on effect it could have on our players re recovery time and injuries. Let's not forget we lost Lundstram today to injury. I'd prefer us to win every game, but I'm not too despondent to be out of the FA Cup tonight as it is always going to favour the clubs with the stronger squads and we aren't quite there at this moment in time. Stings at the moment though.
Today was about a getting much better performance as far as I was concerned, and a sign that we are getting back to our old selves and levels. So in a way, I'm fairly relieved.
