Tbh, Ive always loved the FA Cup and it is a dream of mine to see Utd win it one day, but let's be honest, with Man City and Man Utd still the draw, we would have probably had to fit in a very long trip to Wembley to probably get beaten, in between keeping on playing on a 2 or 3 league games a week schedule in these unprecedented times. It might have seen our league form really go down the pan.

After the lockdown, the FA Cup became more of an hindrance to us and the knock on effect it could have on our players re recovery time and injuries. Let's not forget we lost Lundstram today to injury. I'd prefer us to win every game, but I'm not too despondent to be out of the FA Cup tonight as it is always going to favour the clubs with the stronger squads and we aren't quite there at this moment in time. Stings at the moment though.

Today was about a getting much better performance as far as I was concerned, and a sign that we are getting back to our old selves and levels. So in a way, I'm fairly relieved.

How about just 'chances created'?

Bash should have scored from that header, Enda with his through ball, the disallowed goals etc.

Norwood's crossing was back to his best today, and I slagged the length of them off again mid week.

Most the squad have upped their game that is for sure. Hopefully the late goal hasn't knocked their confidence too much.

We pressed with intent and as a unit.

It was grim watching Man U knock the ball about as we jogged around following their passes.

Today we did what we used to do, especially against teams that like to play out from the back.

Yep we pressed them and forced them into mistakes, exactly what we did in the league games. It works as Arsenal can't pass it around in defence plus they have sideshow bob. It was bad news for us when he went off injured.

McB had a good game.
Berge had his best game for us since signing.
We had more purpose and thrust second half.

Keep that intensity up in the remaining league matches and we should gets some results.

Berge was brilliant, bullied everyone that came near him. Made up for McBurnie, no one can moan at him today!
Agree, now they need to produce those performances every game and not just one offs against a not very good and fortunate Arsenal.

Norwood needs some bench time. Lack of tracking his man cost us the goal. Even Stevens looks off the pace. Season over, put in some youth and fringe players lets see what they got.

McBurnie was much more like the hold up guy we'll need him to be in our system. Much better in the air but it has to be said he got much better service to show it, still not enough though.

Berge affected the match and played a decent box-to-box game, his fitness seems to be improving. His pace and mobility can be coached to fit the Premier League over the summer.

Egan played a quietly solid game, I didn't not him at all which is a good thing for a CB.

Today it was like Berge finally backed himself and his ability. Completely different player.

Fleck and Norwood still a bit crap, mind, but focusing on the positives McBurnie was also a handful.
So on a thread about the positives you post that drivel. well done you 😡

We looked dangerous from set pieces. Where was the chipped corner onto the head of the first man?

Very good shout!!
Seems a bit Warnock-esque but my God it's a briiliant option to have.
They are flat and pinpoint rather than just big and looping as well.
Also all this long ball hoof stuff
I mean when VVD did It against us at the Lane it was a pinpoint pass from distance but when we do it it’s knocked long to the big lump up top

Honestly, I think Wilders been pushing them a bit to hard in training....., 2 days rest after Man U, and were back to playing a bit of football, I think the players are just tired out, and the weather hasn't helped, but we looked loads better after a bit of r&r and a couple of beers!
