Good 30 minutes, poor after that today. Both him and Fleck struggled to get near the Millwall midfield from 45-75 and we were forced back. Osborn came on and despite his limitations his energy broke their momentum and we coasted.
Absolutely correct but Hecky is very poor at recognising what's needed to change things during a game - and today this was made worse by the fact that it was the midfield old guard who needed subbing and he just can't seem to do it.
He subs both strikers !
No one round me could fathom it.
Five minutes later he takes off Fleck + we improve but don't really create anything.... Khadra would have been my choice at that stage

Ndiaye was subbed cos he was done again after 60 mins, Brewster I think is being dripfed back into action after injury etc. Also think it may be 2 - 3 weeks before McAtee & Khadra get substantial minutes until they get up to rest of squad fitness levels. Expect same with Doyle & Bogle on their returns.

Norwood made a few decent tackles but otherwise was wank again, pings to marked players or into the crowd and a shit penalty. Over run in the second half as was Fleck
When I said the same thing before today I was called Pork, disrespectful etc etc, why oh why can't people move its like the CW saga, Thanks for the good times but he shot his bolt, bottle went time to move on,with a pocket full of dosh, Norwood & Fleck have seen better days made good money while here, but it's time to move on no longer fit for purpose

If young men like Khadra & McAtee are below the fitness level of Fleck & Norwood then fuck knows why we recruited them

There is a role for Norwood but people around him need to do their job too. You can argue we need to replace him eventually but that midfield across the board needs to be doing better.

Norwood can sometimes pick a great pass and he seems to be putting a tackle in more since McCall came back to the club.
Sometimes picks a great pass ffs that says it all SOMETIMES,🙄 got to be shifted

Mate

You were called disrespectful not because of your views but the childish names you called fleck and Norwood

I’ve always been a Norwood fan. But alas I’m finding it much harder to defend his inclusion in the side. All those slide rule passes have pretty much dried up now. He doesn’t to command midfield and loses the team possession far to often. As for the penalties, a senior professional shouldn’t get schooled by the keeper that easily…Sorry Ollie, but it’s time to get your coat.

Looks like Norwood our new scapegoat after Lundstram left and Robinson found form. We always have to have one don't we?

I thought he was decent v Millwall. He's not going to pass to unmarked players if all our players are being marked tightly, as was often the case yesterday. As for the penalty, there was nothing wrong with it. He hit it hard and placed it well. It was far better placed than many of Billy's pens. Sometimes the keeper will get lucky, guess right and get his fingers to a decent penalty, as was the case yesterday.

I dont get the scapegoat moniker.
Players have bad games or bad spells and we discuss it on here, on a forum. Its not our fault some players have longer poor spells than others.

There's no coincidence our better players (Ndiaye, Sander, Bogle, Billy etc) will never become "scapegoats".

A lot of people who use the word don’t understand what it means.

He always looks to play the ball backwards, or plays a blind hollywood ball.
in the past he contributed, now ?????

Been saying this for ages. Love him for what he's done in the past. But not his set pieces are terrible, he gives posession away constantly and can't tackle for shit.

1 good pass every few games does not make him a world beater

When he keeps it simple he's perfectly fine for this level.

When he starts thinking he's Beckham and tries 45 yard cross field balls which just give possession back to the opposition he's a liability. For every 10 he tries I'd guess 1 or 2 reach their intended target.

Did it today at the end of the match when we're under the cosh and can launch an attack just gives it straight to their left centre half. They then get a corner and nearly score a winner. All started from Norwood's crap pass.

Spoke to an ex pro footballer last week who said that norwoods biggest fault is that he things he is better than he is

I actually think he's improved in his play out of possession. Breaks it up a lot more than he used to. I agree he could tidy up a bit on the ball, but I also wouldn't want to see him becoming too cautious with it.

Can't disagree with the set plays though, really poor today and have been consistently not good enough for a while now. Fleck's are no better.

With two home games coming up now I'm hopeful that we see a bit more of Doyle and Arblaster. There seems to be no pressure on Norwood and Fleck's spots and that can't be healthy.

Provided a great shield again today and played some nice passes interspersed with some Hollywood balls. Great goal and MoM for me.
