Norwood

I have been one of Norwood s biggest critics, but he has improved recently, won some tackles and not giving the ball away in ridiculous positions
He is however guilty, like Berge of giving the ball to a player in a worse position than he is in and expects him to make something out of nothing

He's been excellent recently and really stepped it up. Along with MGW, he's probably become our most important player.

However, this doesn't automatically invalidate the people's views on his performances earlier in the season when he was well below par.

I have to say that I'm one who got anxious at early season when ever Norwood was at the ball and suggested replacing him in starting 11 couple of times.
Todays Norwood is totally different and he has done a lot better and I feel that it also needs to be said out loud. I don't see him as most important nor along MGW, but he's done much much better.

Surely all players starting in the league at every club, are told to stay away from certain sites especially Twitter.

Worrying that he’s so crap yet when he isn’t in the team we look even worse - just saying

Do we?

We've hardly played without him, more playing with him and enduring his weaknesses. When he went off on Monday, we improved marginally and moved the game up the pitch and central areas.

We need to explore Norwood-free options.

There is a role for Norwood but people around him need to do their job too. You can argue we need to replace him eventually but that midfield across the board needs to be doing better.

Norwood can sometimes pick a great pass and he seems to be putting a tackle in more since McCall came back to the club.

I don't think it's a shock. Our system revolves around Norwood, so when he doesn't play - and we still play that system - we look worse.

We need to play a more fluid style without Norwood. It's a system tweak we need.

Every time he doesn’t start we look worse
Every time he plays well we play well
We moved the game up the pitch because we threw three attackers on leaving Fleck and Osbourne as the supply chain and guest what we still created nothing

Norwood has hit a short pass straight to them 4 times.
Kicked it straight into touch once.
Hit a corner straight to first defender.
Missed a pen.
Only on for his technical ability 🙄
Hit long useless passes + pointed a lot.
He only operates in a small area of the pitch + plays at walking pace.

I'm hoping that we replace Norwood & Fleck with Berge & Doyle eventually.
Think it will give us so much more fluidity and line breaking. By all accounts, Doyle has an impressive passing range which should cover for the loss of Norwood.

Each time his passes fail to reach their target we’re immediately on the back foot. Good job Millwall were crap today. He seems error prone on limited

My thoughts exactly captain we need to be phasing these two out of the 1st 11. Fleck slightly better but both still sit to deep invite the pressure and do not look like creating much at all, granted fleck set berge up but I didn't see anything else from him today to make me think he or both can get back to where they once was.
