Obscure one but worth sharing all the same.
A Northampton director (obviously Wilder’s last club) has apparently told someone in this pub’s mate who happens to be in the football business that Wilder has got the Sunderland job.

Dont know how he’d know. Don’t know how if the takeover isn’t done yet (it isn’t is it?) but I suppose it’s a case of watch this space.

Sorry the thread isn’t just of someone pointing at a road map of Northampton.

A friend of my cousin has a mate who knows someone who’s best mate has a cousin who knows someone who was in a brothel somewhere when he got chatting to a guy who knew someone who.......

Just fill in the rest yerselves
Only 3 links in this chain. Director > mate > pub guy.

Suppose we’ll see if he’s right or not. I should’ve taken his number, this was my chance to become ITK. Albeit at Northampton.

The problem with these things is that people in the game say things just like we do and probably have as much knowledge of the situation as we do. So if this Northampton director said "I've heard he's already got the Sunderland job", that is most likely based on the things we have heard. It doesn't mean he knows any more or less than anybody else. He's unlikely to be arsed where Wilder goes and in the same way I might say "I've heard Conte is leaving Chelsea" , it is likely based on what is being said in the media .

More than I've got to be fair.

Last (and only time) I was remotely ITK was when Woolhouse went and played hide and seek.

According to my neice. A Sunderland season ticket holder!. she says that wilder is favourite for the job but I think that is from the local press!!. UTB

It's always someone in a pub. I'd tend to be more concerned if it was someone stood in the checkout at Aldi or Argos. Next we'll be seeing crappy photoshopped images of Chris Wilder stood at the foot of the Angel of the North with a book about Bob Stokoe.

Weird that isn’t it, it’s almost like it’s a social hub that people go to to have some alcohol and converse with other humans.

Anyone with access to the Internet and knows how to get onto the SkyBet website can tell you that Wilder is favourite for the job

The last time I was ITK and not for the first time was when I had a Chicken madras, it didn’t even form and I knew what was going to happen before I ate it.

Now, whilst it might have been sloppy I can assure you that it was solid and concrete information from what was once known as the Dilshad. :)

Key word in OP - “apparently”
No, the key word was "pub".
Although my interest was initially piqued by the OP saying that a Northamption director was apparently talking to someone who was shagging a friend of the pub at the time.

Keep saying it but odds mean shite all especially on a manager taking over a club people have believed the rumours and lumped on him if you actually think it’s nailed on because of the odds stick a grand on a 66/1 manager and his odds will go right down to maybe 50/1

Exactly what I was meaning. It was only in the local press so hardly gospel!!.

Ah, but the odds have spoken.
I'm really surprised that we haven't had a "Jupiter is in alignment with Venus so Wilder is off to Sunderland for a £10 million bung" thread yet.

Of course they want Chris ! Doesn't mean he's going ! The Euro Consortium front man Donaldson has said the only better manager is Neil Warnock who is 70. So it seems to be an age thing as Chris is only 50.

Micks into 12/1 so someone's had 20p on. Probably Strappy.

Chris is also 8/1 for the West Brom job.
