Dutch 22 CB 6ft 4 at Sunderland but now surplus after their business this summer. He’s missed quite a big chunk of last season with a knee injury but is back for now and he was highly thought of in the past. He’s good on the ball and obviously a big physical presence at CB. He’s been playing for them in preseason as well so he’d come in and be up to speed straightaway in terms of match fitness. I don’t know if Sunderland are willing to part with him long term or whether it’s just a loan. Not sure we’d want to be developing him for someone else on loan but a permanent might be a sensible deal if the asking price is reasonable.

I'm very wary of taking on any player who has come back from a serious injury now. Especially knees or hamstrings. We've been burned so many times.
