I often think we must be a country full of desperately unhappy people. Got to be something missing in your life if you go on social media to batter someone because you weren't happy with how they read a few birthdays out at Bramall Lane.
I’ve got a theory.
Many have have minor frustrations and minor frustrations which build up over time.
Then like a pressure cooker eventually a tiny bit of stress creates a totally over the top reaction.
Many people (who have some unhappiness) go to football and shout abuse at players, the ref, whoever.
The target of their anger is irrelevant, it’s the facts they can release some of their bottled up anger that makes them feel better.
I suppose it’s bette to abuse the ref/ players than being at home and taking it out on the kids and wife.
I really believe Social Media offers than same release valve.
So many people get so much enjoyment from complaining/ slagging off/ insulting any subject that around.
Then afterwards that person giving the abuse immediately feels better but it’s a short term solution.
People need to self analyse, being really honest with themselves about why they are so angry about life.
The stadium announcer shouldn’t take it personal, some people need a punch bag to release their anger/ frustration and that announcer put himself up there as a potential target.
