Derby day acid attack rumour?

I really despise these knob heads who bring shame on us all with their antics. Whether that’s theirs or ours, I sincerely hope they get their comeuppance.

I also wouldn’t hesitate reporting to the police if I saw someone throwing something no matter which side they were on and I would definitely be a witness in court if required.

Utter scumbags.

I think what we saw yesterday prematch is the changing face of trouble of football. Not so long ago seasoned hooligans would typically not engage in those kind of antics. Preferring to stay out of sight and hope for a 'meet' or encounter somewhere else, away from the glare of the police and cameras. But there are now so many cameras and stiff penalties that most trouble involves under 18s who probably just get a telling off. Usually chucking stuff at each other while under police escort. I've no idea if the BBC or OCS even exist anymore? To me it just looks like chavvy kids taking on the mantle of the older generation of hooligans but preferring to hurl abuse at each other and throw missiles.

Despite some fans being stupid, I seriously doubt anybody is taking acid to a game to throw at someone. Also if it did happen, there would be proof. Also the police would have issued a statement. Absolutely BS. Never happened

15 year olds playing at being hooligans and the Police playing at being a military counterinsurgency force.
Agree with commenters above that the over-the-top police presence makes the crowd problems far worse than they would otherwise be.
And the rumour of an acid attack is very, very, very difficult to believe. Someone making up a story to get likes on Facebook I suspect.
