I've seen a few comments on here about how poorly CW managed us this season and whilst I believe he maybe could've made a few mistakes (hey, nobody gets everything right all of the time) let's not forget that there were 2 really big reasons for our relegation - Horrific injury list (therefore key players missing) and no fans (I believe we really were the "12th" man and would've also made a huge difference).
As for this list of 5, the fact that Heckingbottom is on there and supposedly being considered . . . . . . I'm sure I'm not the only one who's beginning to worry just a little . . . . .

We should have stuck with him , but it wasn't possible from both parties , but all the dicks who wanted to get rid of one of our best mangers for a long time , will soon be crying for him to come back .

I think you will find that no one wanted to get rid of him but when you have offered your resignation three times it is difficult to persuade him to stay. They had given him total control of his budget and numerous salary increases yet when the board asked for a modicum of control he wanted out.

Truth is according to Abdullah it was Wilder that was desperate to detatch from us.

Exactly this. He must have been offered the job if he has applied for a work permit. No doubt there will be a way around it, a few hundred grand to help someone refurbish their flat would work maybe.
I can’t see how, it’s not even a tough bar to get under. 2 years experience.

Yes i agree with you from the clubs point of view , I am on about our (some) of our so called fans who wanted him out after one bad season , they really don't know how good he was , but they soon will next season , but like you said Chris wanted to go too cus we had a leaky roof or summert ?

The 5 on the list are Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub.

That's 6 and you missed Pugh, the twin of Pugh.
You're probably not far wrong though 🤣
It’s five, one is Pugh, two is Barney McGrew, three four and five are Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb. Barney McGrew is the old bloke that drives the fire engine. He did miss the other Pugh though.

Reading on here, Captain Flack is a definite contender. Might as well add in Windy Miller and PC McGarry.

You mean fans will pissed off if the board dont employ their choice of manager no matter how unrealistic it is ?
Unrealistic? The fans have just sat through one of the most embarrassing seasons for many years. If the club appointed
I find it strange that they don’t mention one candidate due to etiquette, privacy, respect to candidates etc but then they get down to the shortlist of 5 and then name just one of them

To me there’s obviously some ulterior motive to that. They needn’t have said anything at all, as all that is important at this stage is that the 5 know who they are
I think it’s called...Breaking us in gently.

He's just lost the most popular and successful manager of my lifetime.
Silencing him and making him out to be the bad guy was the option the Prince decided to take.

We're going around in circles with this now and I do want to support the owners going forward but the Prince and Chris fell out and didn't want the same things. Nobody shit on "us".

Nixon saying this morning That we’ll have to fork out £1.74m compo to get Blessin. Doesn’t mention permits/visas

if that is true by any chance, be interesting to see if the club pursue him and I suppose how serious we are

Chris got us promoted twice, playing a style of football which was unbelievably enjoyable and was a style no one had managed to perfect before. 4 of the most enjoyable seasons I've experienced in my 57 years watching us. However, when the premiership managers and coaches sussed out how to stifle us, we simply did not adapt / change nor did we appear to have a plan B. At the back of my mind there is a bit of doubt that the lack of any attempt to develop how we play is suggesting that maybe, just maybe, Chris isn't the tactical genius we all thought.

Typical how some want the new manager to fail to prove their predictions right

“So called fans”. FFS 🙄

I think its Blessin myself, I think its just taking time due to the visa issue.

CW was stubborn if the did go for David and took the Leeds model we wouldnt be near the bottom

last thing we need is a big friendly policeman!

This is exactly what I think and feel.

Don't like that fans are so quick and fickle to think wilder just turned into a crap manager and couldn't pick a good player. We did so well because he did those things. And when signings didn't work out he was quick to shuffle in the market. Take the Lee Evans out for Norwood in situation etc.

Prince wanted to run the club in a way Chris wasn't comfortable with. And started to do these things already. It took alot for Chris to want to resign. Even at the last hour they were still trying to come to a place to keep him, but there was no way forward sadly. Alan Biggs had the situation down to a tee.

But we do need to move on and I hope the owners make good decisions going forward with the new manager and plans going forward.
