What home capacity can we sell out as its nearly sold out?

Last season Sheffield derby was officially sold out a week before the match and the attendance for that game was 31,125 with an official Sheff Wed allocation of 2,417.

Our current capacity is around 31,500, away teams can be given a max allocation of just over 2,800 but SAG blocked off an extra row at the front, that’s why Wednesday has 400 less than some other teams.

So the max home capacity is 28,708 and with 1,500 Charlton fans….
A total home sell would give an attendance of 30,208 on Saturday.

However altho the seating plan makes it look like it’s close to a home sell out…..the club often hold small sections back so we can expect banks for extra seating appearing all over the ground. Also the back sections of the Kop (the standing area) haven’t been put on general sale….not sure why as they can’t all be season ticket holders.

Confident that Saturday will be the biggest home gate of the season and should break 29K
But due to the underwhelming sales from Charlton really doubt it will break 30K.

Not only that, they have to pay to be put on the list, up to 50 quid. American Owners corrupt as fuck.

I know the corporate waiting list is a fair chunk of that, it’s why they took away some STH seats this year.

I’ve got no interest in seeing that shite but a couple of firms I’ve worked for have moved heaven and earth to get customers into hospitality seats.

London clubs could sell thousands of tickets to tourists if their ground was big enough. We could easily do similar in the premier league with packaged from Manchester or London for people flying in. The global nature and demand for tickets is huge

Two of them are dead, and one (now 76) hasn’t been with them since 1990. Old JJ, who’s still plugging away, looks pretty well for his age, tbf.

I had a supplier come visit in the summer, some of the party that came over were Inter ultras and a couple of Juve fans, during the usual after work meal we got talking about football and Sheffield’s history, they asked to go and see the Adelphi plaque on the crucible and they were all having their photos taken with it.

They had no idea about Sheffield’s part in modern football and were astounded we don’t make more of it. A couple of them have flown back over in their own time to go and see Sheffield FC & Hallam and go round the Legends at the Lane exhibit.

It’s maddening the council aren’t interested in making more of it.

Thought I'd check this. Right now it's 1hr 02m to East Midlands, 1hr 12m to Manchester and 1hr 30m to Leeds Bradford from where I am in Sheffield. Its 47 mins at the moment to East Midlands from the south of the city. The others look unlikely.

Hull ST holders can buy up to 4 tickets, they do have to provide emails for the people they are buying tickets for, but they don't have to register an account or have a purchase history.

Yes I know it's because their ground is to big for them, but it shows that a system like that is allowed by SAG and works.

Our ticketing system is piss poor tbh. Owners should have made sorting that out a priority.
