well heres the starting eleven that i would like to see at the start of next season

kenny
lowton morgan bartley naismith

yeats halford williamson surman

evans ward

subs: aksalu, cresswell

wouldnt cost a lot to assemble this team but the problem is finding good quality backup considering our financial constraints.

I would sell sharp 1m, henderson 1m, quinn 400k, stewart free and france free.

if we can retain monty thats 1 less player needed if not we are looking at another 6 or 7 players.
i would concentrate on bringing young hungry players in from the lower leagues or premiership...also how is it that every team barr us can get decent europeans in and we cant

I watched Charlton vs swindon last night. Players that impressed me were:

Chralton:
Bailey (CM) very good on the ball, can pass & shoot.
Kyel reid - might be him on the left and yeates on right.
Racon - Came on as sub, likes to have a run and shot.

Swindon:
Darren Ward - Very good young striker. On loan from Bolton, maybe a season long loan?
O'Brien - Full Irish international. Left winger, lightning quick.
Rab Douglas & Frazer Richardson, both used to be at Leeds and looked very comfortable.

If Halford & Surman are available and we can afford them i would love them both at the lane. Quality both of them.

There was talk of Phil Bardsley being available, another good signing if its possible.

i like nick bailey from charlton..at the back end of last season he was running things when they were trying to get out of trouble...
there are alot of teams who are releasing good players...there are also teams in financial difficulty and if shatwell is careful with his signings and brings in players to play in their positions then i think we can do ok this year..i think the two standout teams this year will be qpr and burnley..the rest is much of a much...

I would try for Seamus Coleman, irish right back on loan at Blackpool from Everton, looks top quality

A Halford & Williamson central midfield wouldn't work. For me, replace Halford with Monty, and Cressie in for Surman, and the OP has a good team there. Although Ward & Cressie would swap positions throughout the game in my line up.

I thought that Racon looked good too.

Racon is a good player and Charlton fans regard him highly.

The fact that Parkinson's played Bailey (star player) in an unfavoured position all season to accomodate Racon in the middle proves that he's got something about him.

Direct replacement for Williamson.

According to the locals, rumour has it a deal is already in place for Charlie Adam to go to Everton with Coleman going the other way on a season long to sweeten the deal. Obviously Saturday's result could have a small bearing on this !

Agree if he's available but I don't think Everton will be queuing up to do us any favours after last summer.

The Siep stories seem to be gathering pace and I'd also expect us to go back for Bartley on a season long which gives us 3 CB's.

I'd offload Henderson and go for Hooper from Scunny and I agree with Nick, resurrect a move for Surman. If Monty re-signs, he will be central to KBs plans, if he doesn't then that's obviously a key area...............here we go, Browny back :-)
