It's unbelievable how many of you lot on here have very very short memories.

No, performances on the pitch have been far from great but KM has moved this club forward in a way we'd never have expected 10 years ago and all he gets back from so called supporters is "why doesn't he invest more" - he's a businessman, he's not a bloke with an endless pot of cash.

He has put £50m in over the years and has got to a point where he's put his family in front of the club he loves (which most of you would, apart from the deluded ones) and said enough is enough.

To the one's who say "he should be honest with us blah blah blah" complete and utter rubbish, it's his business, his money and we are just a small spectacle in all of that. Get real and enjoy being a Blade again, the heartbreak, the delight, the walking down Shoreham Street on match day seeing the place packed.

Are you being paid for this?

100% totally disagree. He's invested most of it in property. Far too much emphasis on property and not enough football expertise.

Yes he's dipped his hand in his pocket, fair play - I haven't but I don't expect anyone to spend their own millions, but can we please keep football and property separate. I am in no doubt we have sold players because his property deals have cocked up. You probably disagree.

I don't get it. If the RBS had given us a loan of £50M and were taking repayments at LIBOR plus 5%, would we all be queueing up to smoke the pole of Fred the Shred? So why do we owe McCabe our thanks?

At least with a straight bank loan we might have remained a football club, rather than a geared property play with a football division. McCabe's strategy has backfired and we're left to foot the bill both on and off the field. I remain to be convinced about what I should thank McCabe for.

....but...and here's the rub, several teams have had their multiple seasons in the sun.
Portsmouth...a very good run
Fulham...an excellent run.
Wigan....incredible.
Bolton...again incredible.
West Brom...looks like three promotions in short order, but could do better.
Stoke...consolidating.
Sunderland...still to convince though.
Birmingham...look useful.
Yes I know, non of them excite, but I bet McCabe would swap places. Some have debt, but have stayed the course somewhat. We however have gone back team wise some years.

What is the evidence McCabe 'has put £50m in'?
How much has he taken out?
What is the value of SUFC, an asset he owns?

I am of the opinion the Bob the Builders only income stream at the moment is the Blades whilst properties he has standing empty have to meet financial commitments. These commitments are being met by The blades.

No evidence, just my gut feeling.

Something which never seems to get covered in these debates is how much debt we were carrying BEFORE Kevin McCabe came in.

Before anyone asks - no I have'nt a clue myself but I recall that it wasn't just the ground that looked ugly at that time.

I seem to remember there were 4 Stands up, in fact I think those 4 stands have not changed a deal, apart from the posts in the BLUT being removed.

I think McCabe has added, the Streetwise Corner Stand and Community Centre, the Forsyth Business Centre in the Corner, and the New Westfield Corner, a TV and a lot of Brickwork around the Ground.

Thankfully no Statue of Dooley, yet

Talking of Bobby, you've just hit the nail right on the head Grumps. Fantastic stuff.

If McCabe wud sell for £50million and the asset of BDTBL is included i'll find him a buyer next week.
