When nothing left to play for

There’s still 38 games of football to be played this season. The seasons not a dud we’ve just had a poor start. Once we get to January and if the right players come in we could be well placed to make a good run of form. I’m not saying we’re not crap because we are but there is still time for us to turn it around with a possible 114 points to play for.
" If the right players come in ". Wouldn"t get me hopes up too high 😉

Hope I'm wrong, but with this bunch! It's looking stuck on for L1, repeating myself again(yes it's what we all know) the transfer window was appalling! Maybe January might give us a slim chance🙏but who the fucks! Going to make & score the goals!!
The problem is it’ll be wilder running the window so we’ll get some expensive loans he won’t get anything out of and some more league 1 dross.

How do we get this team fired up?

I know theoretically it's possible to make playoffs blah blah blah but historically no team with a start like ours has ever made the playoffs.

Even when Cooper took over at Forest they were better placed than we are now.

The record books say that teams with starts like ours are almost always relegated or in a relegation scrap.

So my main concern is how do we get these players to continue to fight when no upside left to play for and this season is pretty much a write off.

You can already see the likes of Hamer, Burrows, Cooper already starting to give up the ghost.
The fight against relegation might be a worthy cause.
Also, restoring some pride by climbing above our stricken neighbours can be another target.

On the flip side, this team finished 20 points ahead of every other team that remained in this division.

The mentality has to be let’s hunt these mother fuckers down one by one.

I think after the international break we’ll look a different side and will go on a winning run.

It’s all having to be done on the fly a little right now. I reckon the break will get Ings and Mee up to speed and Davies, all of which could be cheat codes against a lot of these teams. Arblaster will come back in, we’ll be mid table by January and we’ll be having different conversations.

If you don’t have some hope, what do you have? I prefer to be glass half full on this one.

Yes lets start slagging of the players that will help
and you wonder why Moore couldnt wait to leave and MCB chose Hull
some people need to look in the mirror

Everything left to play for. If they get their act together, they can finish in the play offs, it's absolutely possible.

If not, then I am certain that avoiding relegation to league one is motivating enough! We played well against Southampton, we are improving.

... us? the fans.

Booing Cannon when he came on.

Every little helps.

Starting threads about our manager kicking a football, because he is passionate about the club.

Every little helps.

Fans, players, United is how a club progresses, not this constant squabbling about who we can scapegoat - because we lost a game of football.
