They're at a stalemate, it's going to take a few more weak American coffees and 2 packets of water biscuits, before the silence is broken, then it will only be by the sound of "ARR MUCH"!!??
"NO NO NO NO NO"

Get ready to play hardball the American way!

The new owners invested I a successful team, expecting promotion for their 100m plus. If the club now asks for 5 new players, the yanks would be well within their rights to say, ‘Okay, you can buy two players, but make sure they are EPL ready’.
They bought the club as a going concern, and to them, that means auto promotion now!
I can't believe they are that naive.

I agree, that’s what Chris does best “squeezing” special performances out of ordinary players. But the new owners saw in living colour against Burnley, what a bit more tactical nous can do for you. Yes, they also had better options on the bench, but we were totally schooled from start to finish.
First half was arguably ours- breakaway goal 0-1. Second half starts we arguably should have a free kick, we don't get it, 30 seconds later they do, they get a spozzy goal. Yes they then held onto the lead well. 'Totally schooled' I don't think so at all - **** right off doom mongers.

The match was tight as per Wilders interview.

Give us back the 2pts deduction WE ARE TOP. Wilder with the limited resources has literally pulled the rabbit out of the bag. Second half of the season will not go as well as first way way too many injuries and Souttar has been our Van Dyke.

In last 24 hrs on this board I've seen Gilchrist/ O Hare/ Brewster/ Moore/ Anel / Brooks/ Wilder all whipped - this without doubt is a total joke, it's not debating it's plain simple 'entitled moaning' FFS we lost against Burnley and we are still top - get a grip.

The season so far = FUCKING AMAZING.

6 months for a striker who is 35 years old and been out for months on £30k pw ?
You have to be joking
Let him decay at Norwich

Kinell , I think we were daft giving 32 yr old Moore a 3 year contract !
I agree about Moore.

But we need to bring in a striker in the Moore mould but we're not going to bring in a striker good enough for the top flight. If you loan you're losing youth (normally) so the other option is someone like Barnes on a short term deal.

As I said, his fitness record probably makes it a no-go and he's unlikely to want to up sticks for 6 months.

We need a minimum of four new player ideally we need six all of whom are good enough to start games. Four will see us in the play off's six might give us a shout at top two, that £50m the Burnley fans think we have ready to spunk on player will be severely tested.
Me, I'd be very surprised if we have a lot of cash to splash around we might be doing well if we spend £20m. Sheffield United and money to burn just don't fit together never have probably never will.

Who took the minutes? El Smudgo

No, we wouldn't but players obviously want security.
His deal at Norwich lasts till June next year - why would he move now for 6 months with us when it gives him no more security than drawing his fat wage packet at Norwich for the next 6 months ? No sense in it for him or us.

His family might still be living in the north west? So it could simply be a case of moving to spend more time with his family.

With the money he’s earned over his career, I doubt he needs to grab every last penny.

Maybe.
But what do we get ?
A 35 yr old who's just been out injured for ages with a "weird" calf injury.
No thanks.
Our 3 senior strikers are all injury prone.
We could do with a fit healthy one.

End of the day, we were beaten by a marginally better side in a game where there was only 1 clear cut chance (their first goal) in it, we've done that to more than one team this year.

I don't think we're the finished article (we do need strengthening) but I don't think Burnley are as good as their fans seem to think they are either, they look very susceptible to high/fast balls into the box which we tried to exploit but didn't exploit it enough.

On another day, the roles could have been reversed and we would have come away with the 3 points having done to Burnley what they did to us.

I’m not convinced about Barnes either, but I was just giving a reason why he might want to move to us without it being about a longer contract or more money.

Apparently they tried to give Wilder a Bud Light so he punched them and has now been sacked.

He's not even spoken to the owners yet. They've never owned a football club and don't seem like they have money to burn. Seems odd you'd just give Wilder whatever he wants without having someone you trust to give you some reassurance.

Do you really think hes not spoke to the new owners yet? 😂 even though they’ve known they’re taking over the club about 3 month ago at least 😂 come on

One who also has not scored a goal since March and who has been so heavily criticised by Norwich fans that the commentator on the EFL Highlights programme said that this was the main reason he had been left out of the side .

If we do sign him , anyone thinking that we would be getting the Ashley Barnes who was so effective at Burnley a few years ago should prepare to be badly disappointed .

I appreciate that getting hold of a decent striker these days is a very difficult task , but doubt very much that he is the answer even in the short term and most certainly not if we were to gain promotion .

Isn't the unseen hand of Des Taylor involved somewhere somehow ?

Will the club finally acknowledge him officially or have I missed the memo ?

It does make me chuckle that some people seem to think these lads have chucked £100 million+ at buying the club, without seemingly having any sort of plan in place and just rocked up to Bramall Lane and said to Bettis/Wilder "er, right... now what?".

Wilder may not have directly, but Bettis will have done and options will have been put in place no matter who owned the club Jan 1 .

Therefore there will be a minimum / poss BBD and the Liverpool lad ? if the Prince retained ownership- but now CW can discuss other possibilities with the new owners . These other possibilities may have also been lined up on the assumption that the new owners are in situ .

Wilder will get backing imo - his record thus far deserves it - what he does with that backing to earn further support is another question
Hope its more Harrison B than Ryan B.

Since HRH has gone it seems to have really hit the fan,
we have picked up just 1 point out of a possible nine.
and two of those games were at home !!!

( Even wendy are getting a better turn over than that.)

With Moore ( Why on earth is he still taking Penalty's ), and Brewster, as our main strikers ?
I think we've been incredibly lucky to get that one point.

I'll be dead chuffed when we get back to our winning way's again,
but having lost that vital momentum we had,
I'm worried it's not going to be that easy no matter who they bring in.......

Losing Souttar is a big blow along with the other injuries.

I agree, but now that bubble has burst it's going to take one hell of a plaster to blow it up again. I just hope we get one big enough....
