They could have bought a 1/5th of a Brewster goal for that. The KLF burnt a million quid, all in one evening.

I think my worry there is that we have a tough few games. If we drop badly then we need to recover quickly and these signings may well not be match fit. We have Cardiff, Swansea and Hull. Need to take points really from all those.
You're saying the same thing - if we need 5 players in January , that's half a team ! Which means the squad (as it stands , including injuries) is very unlikely to get autos.Burnley are still behind us as it stands.
And I have to agree with Wilder. Tight game could have gone either way. That 2nd goal was crucial. I reckon they don't score that we eventually equalise and take a point and it looks very different.
But the squad is light has been all season and we've managed to ride it. But we will need reinforcements now.
Wilder said 3-4 but if Souttar is out make that at least 5.
Tight hamstringWeere woz Raki Saki yesterday ?
£100m which media suggests they are paying in stagesWhat evidence is this based on? Or is it based on a hunch which is coloured by the protracted nature of a [checks notes] £100m transaction.
I'm not disagreeing with you. Rich people are tight. But, having money to burn means being prepared to waste money. That's the meaning of the saying.

It was probably his right one and he was asking "what's this and what does it do?:Think wilder said he was feeling his calf
5 signings. But not necessarily 5 starters. Be 5 to compete. You're saying the same thing - if we need 5 players in January , that's half a team ! Which means the squad (as it stands , including injuries) is very unlikely to get autos.
I'll chuck in a 'most' for measure or as it's Christmas 'most rich people I've met.'“Rich people are tight”
A measured view……..
I think we are saying the same thing in different ways - our best natural scorer Campbell is out , our best defensive MF Souza is out , Blaster is out , our wingers are not successful , our best CB Souttar is out.5 signings. But not necessarily 5 starters. Be 5 to compete.
For instance Souttar replacement will compete for a place. (Assuming we need one)
When Souza is fit he will start probably too. Campbell was in fine form too.

All problems with no apparently quick solutions.
So right here , right now , our available squad is not fit for autos.
Half the players who put us top of the league are not available or carrying injuries or out of form.
Burnley's squad is so deep , they have even more injuries but still have a quality bench. It's fit for autos.
We need players who , in the current circumstances , are likely to start games.
That means exactly what CW said when asked about January.
Experienced , quality players.
Players who've proved they can be successful at the top of the Championship or their equivalent.
We are not talking about youngsters for development , average old Joes for "cover" , CBs whom you need to teach how to play RB , strikers with no record of finding the net etc.
I shudder when we're linked to has-beens like Ashley Barnes who's sat on Norwich treatment table for ages on £30k PW.
It's put up or shut up time.
It's sliding doors.
Do the owners want the PL in 5 months or not ?
Can the manager find and attract the right players ?
Because if not , Leeds & Burnley are ready to take the auto slots.
Whilst our injuries and "players not in good form" keep us in the playoffs lottery.
We need signings as soon as possible
Agreed. But we need signings of quality, players that walk into the first team. Not ones who sit at home knitting a scarf. We need signings as soon as possible
How do most people buy their house? It doesn't make it an easier process.£100m which media suggests they are paying in stages
A fit Ashley Barnes on contract to the end of the season would make sense but he is neither fit nor out of contract. Would be a cheap fairly risky free option to bring on for Moore.
Fitness and terms. I suspect he'd want more than 6 months.Cheap but risky because of fitness? Auto here we come.

I agree, that’s what Chris does best “squeezing” special performances out of ordinary players. But the new owners saw in living colour against Burnley, what a bit more tactical nous can do for you. Yes, they also had better options on the bench, but we were totally schooled from start to finish.Who on earth's going to come in and squeeze more out the squad than he has?
Sounds like Birmingham syndrome to me
So you want us to sack Wilder and bring in Scott Parker?I agree, that’s what Chris does best “squeezing” special performances out of ordinary players.
