We really dont know, and Mr Undisclosed aint gonna tell us ... but

the Team today is worth less (£s) , and is less talented than it was at the Seasons start

And we won't know whether thats going to be the same at the end of the season or whether thats a bad or good thing.

All we can do is look, after a certain period of time and see whether the players that we brought in can achieve what we need to, promotion.

After 4 games, sitting bottom of the league, it suggests not, but its really early for me and i still think that come Christmas, we won't be in the bottom half...But thats an opinion, based upon what i think Wilder is capable of, rather than from anything i've seen, because fortunately i haven't see us play yet!

McCabe = bullshit. he wants 64/65m fact. he values the hotel at over 10m alone which is 7m over priced as it based on rooms filled per year rather than the building itself. Anyhow, after 10 years of decline, another 10 years under Kev wont hurt, I'm looking forward to the 4th division, best season of my life watching us. then the conference league and eventually the Blades super draw league

You still won't be able to buy the club Martin.

You've said before you have some background in finance. You don't understand jargon but you are quite capable of commenting on it rather than ask what it means? How does that work? You just post on a subject without knowing what it's about?
I'm not the only person reading this. It would be helpful for others if our posts were in plain English. Then there might be less misunderstanding of our financial situation.

I'd agree with that. I'd love to know fully what's going on with the financials but the debates on here just bewilder me from the get-go tbh.

Most misunderstandings are people not having a clue but thinking they do. Then there are those who question items because of their agendas. I'll leave it to those in future, it'll suit plenty who don't like to read the actualities and then question them not because they don't understand but because they simply don't lke them.

I agree with Rodders agreeing with BB. Some plain English would be deeply appreciated cos we'd all love to understand what's going on, and even if we are interested in accounts no one is going to trawl through McCabes convoluted empire. I'm pretty sure that quite a few on here read some heavy technical stuff, I do, and what you soon realise is that there's no point using complex jargon to laymen. So please enlighten us poor dullards and we will appreciate it. I did study Maths subsid for a year at University so I like to think I am not totally without number sense

What worries me is that after 42 games in 2005/6 season we had only lost 8 games and we won PL promotion.

We have lost 3 after 4 games an I'm feckin bricking it. I've said before I'm a confidence supporter and currently running on empty. The way I feel about the club, manager, owners and players is that the seasons over already. Hope something changes this feeling.

And sold Adams for around £2m so he's not funded anything

Any undisclosed transfer fee is inversely proportional to the posters feelings for McCabe.

Plus when we sell "it's peanuts" Nd written down and when it's not reinvested it's "all that fucking money" and the fee goes up.

Actually room occupancy is a way of calculating the value of goodwill not bricks and mortar.

If you say McCabe is wanting £10m for the hotel he's looking at covering the building and equipping costs - subject obviously to valuation - and is asking nothing for the goodwill.

Interesting that you are valuing a business that has lost money from the start a £3m though.

Tek off the value of capitalised loans and thar not a million miles off kidda

It's amazing how you can find all these figures somewhere in the accounts. It's the interpretation of them by some which is laughable, but already the £60+ million has been quoted on here as if it's fact.

Two questions from my maths O Level mind about two very large lump sums:

I. £23.5 million from West Ham

Apparently to be used "to help run the club"

2. £10 million from HRH

See above

£33.5 million invested in the club (we are led to believe) since we were relegated from the PL, so:

Where has it gone?

1. Secured against Santander borrowings run up by Turry and Robson. IE Trading losses.

2. Trading losses.

Do you believe it?

You must have missed it when I provided a link to Companies House which showed they'd both invested £4m each in shares last year.

Whether the losses total eight million, rather than guess I'll wait for the 2016 accounts. Novel approach I know......

Fuck that shit, let's get the shoes off. Where's Devine when you need him

The total loss for the year, stated in the last accounts was £2.9 million, down from £4.452 million the previous year.
