He was stopped in the early hours of Friday morning after a night on the lash Thursday night. In your own words 'what a cock'.

You replied to my post which had 2 examples and said it was indefensible. If he has been caught in the early hours then yes, he's a cock and it's in defensible.

Without knowing the ins and outs of training schedule this week, we may have had Friday off with the game being on Monday, I don't know!?! If so, this may be the reason he was out.

Wilder will deal with it regardless but if he was driving home from a night out, get him banned from driving.

You can have 2 pints and be within the limit, in most cases anyway. We don't know the specifics but he could have strayed slightly beyond that, over a long period of time.

At best it is stupid though and I know exactly what you mean. We are all different, but in my case I know that there is no way I am sticking within the limit, or drinking pop on a night out. Leave the car at home ffs.

I would very careful, 2 pints would be enough to put most people over the limit. If driving the max i would do is 1, usually none. Even if you feel fine the tolerance on this is very low so not worth the risk.

It will be interesting in the dressing room, if as we are led to believe, this is a tight squad of professional. Apart from his crass stupidity he has let all his team mates down, so after CW has had a go I would expect the captain to similarly have a go, if indeed it is a tight dressing room.
Unfortunately this is what can happen when you move back to your own back yard after living some distance away .sheffield quite close to Leeds.
Not making excuses for him but it's a danger ,feel sure he will have been warned of the complacency this can bring.Going to pay the price of being a silly boy.
Hopefully might focus his mind on being a top player for us , he sure has a habit of shooting himself in the foot which all brings added pressure.
Will be interesting how Wilder deals with it as he will have had similar situations with players previously but not ones costing an arm and leg.

Oli has been absolutely stupid and CW will leave him in no doubt of that whatsoever... ironically it could be the making of the boy, he certainly has something to prove.

Not the first time he's caused a raised eyebrow since signing....pissed making hand signs watching Swansea at QPR, caught slagging off his country and now this.

CW obviously gives the lads a bit of rope but Oli has well and truly hung himself.....time to grow up.

I wouldn't have him anywhere near BDTBL tonight but knowing Wilder it wouldn't surprise me if he started.

Needs to shave that crap looking beard off as well.

Question as well for me is who is he surrounded by that’s going along with the decision for him to drink drive ? Or was he on his own ?
I know he’s a big boy and will do as he pleases - but I would like to think someone would voice an opinion not to have drove
4 days before a game shouldn't be problematic mate, as long as we are talking about small volumes. The driving element is just plain stupid however, even if he was marginally over or pulled the morning after.

I suppose we will find out whether Wilder has got this one wrong, but he would not have done so well previously in his career if he wasn't hard working and professional so I wonder if this is linked to him being back home around his old mates. He will be quite the celebrity and it may be going to his head a bit.

A good point has been made on this thread already that this could be the thing that actually kick starts his United career. Get yourself away from the crowd, off social media and get your head down. We'll see soon enough.

I'd disagree completely. Pretty sure Andy Murray or mo Farah Chris Froome aren't over the drink drive limit 4days before a comp...

It's 2019 and football has moved on... Like it or not, they're elite athletes now...

All you holier than thou fuckers on here, take a look at yourselves. I'm not religious but do like the saying .... let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

Yes the guy is a tool here. He has let himself and the club down. But lets not have him banged up and rotting away in a cold dark prison cell until we know the extent of what he's done. 12 pints and I'd blast him. 2 and a bit pints and the coppers have arrested a silly boy.

Half the squad are cunts then, they go out most wednesdays

If they're drinking alcohol to the point where they're over the drink drive limit - then yep. That'll come back to hurt Us later in the season if it's true..

My issue isn't him drinking. My issue is him drink driving. Nothing personal.

I think the problem is that he hasn't been very good at football, if he was then everyone would be jumping to his defence.

Hopefully it's the kick up the arse that he needs and he improves on and off the pitch.

Didn't Wilder say on the record that he was surprised we managed to play the last few games of L1 or the Stoke game because they were all pissed?

And before you say - we'd won promotion... What's the difference?

Of course there’s a difference. Every point is vital now and the players need to ensure they are in the best possible condition.

Why is he?

He's scored the same amount as Robinson with around the same amount of game time. He's also had one ruled out by VAR

He cost 2.5x more than robbo, with that comes more expectation. We’ve played 8 games so far, 1 goal is not a return the justifies the money. We seem to hoof it up the pitch more when hes playing which i can’t stand also (not his fault).

Maybe he’s been told he’s not going to be involved already? Let’s not pretend that he’s the first to have a drink ever and let’s not pretend that he will be the last.

Im not prepared to hurl anything like the abuse that has been on this thread without knowing the full facts. If he’s way over the limit then he’s a fucking idiot but no one actually knows what the breathalyser said and that’s the truth of the matter.

If he’s a touch over the likelihood is it will be a slap on the wrists from the coppers and Wilder and that will be the end of it. As long as he doesn’t bullshit CW about it he will be fine.
