Everton desperate to get that parachute payment ...3 years is it?

He’s a bad signing of you want your LB or LWB to play more than half the games.
He wasn’t too bad last season or for Forest to be fair. Averaged about 25 games played. He’s struggled this season badly though, but that’s not usual with our medical team and wasn’t it a sprinkler that caused it initially?

It's a weird one with Lowe, I think he's just an average championship player who's hardly fit.

I cant ever remember leaving a game and thinking 'Max Lowe played a blinder today'

Everton rating Jebbison and now Lowe as good enough for Prem level is just odd. Tbh I've seen absolutely nothing from either that would make me come to the same conclusion.

There are a number of Champ level LBs/LWBs that I would prefer over Lowe but if he / his agent can land a deal with Everton then good luck to him. I'd be surprised if he plays more than 5 games next season if he does though.

Indeed. Usually they are spot on aren't they? Best in the English league

I quite liked Lowe, but he's so out his depth in the Prem. He's not a bad signing for any championship team

No he will be brilliant for Everton such a super Defender he was amazing for us and very versatile just the sort of defender Everton would find a valuable asset

(dont forget add on a sell on clause SUFC)

I think the “not that bad” assessment of Lowe is generous, tbh, even if we’re measuring him at Champ level. I don’t think we’ve had a defender in recent times with as little awareness of who and what is around him—a pretty fundamental issue for a full-back/wing-back.

If you watch him for a few minutes, even when we don’t have the ball and are on the back foot, it is alarming how little he looks around him, to see what’s happening in the spaces he’s responsible for or to keep track of where our other players are.

I did this a few times during the last promotion season and was quite shocked at how blinkered he seemed. Though it helped explain how often he seemed to get caught out of position.

Fittingly, maybe, given the reported interest of 🐷, the nearest recent equivalent I could think of at the Lane was Marvin ‘Tragic’ Johnson.

IMO he's nothing more than an average Championship player at best. I don't think there will be any point in the future where I will say "I wish we still had Max Lowe."

Hell, I never said that about Sander Berge last season.

Agree he was disappointing. I'd hoped he'd improved after doing well at Forest, but I don't think he was great at anything. I suspect Derby realised they had one decent full back and one very ordinary and did well to get a Premiership club to go for both.

Do you guys want to sell him or not we should be bigging him up you never know who might be reading here. Brilliant defender Lowe is.

He’d be going there as cover.

And as you intimate, Revolution there isn’t much point having someone there as cover who is unavailable half the time.

Not as if he’s getting injured through crunching tackles, he was out most of the season due to the sprinkler incident. Perhaps harsh of me, but that’s a bit dopey isn’t it?

The stats never reflected the reality of what we saw.
He's steadyish at Championship level when he plays, so probably not a bad signing for them lot (if midtable consolidation is their aim this season), but much depends on his fitness. He's made of paper.

Agreed.
Decent player when he stays fit with a consistent run of games (see Forest).
We never got that consistency from him

I take this back, he was a full on prick & the piggy bastards can have him 😂

My most vivid memory of Lowe involves him running after a oppo player who somehow made a run ahead of him without being noticed. Either oppo players were like the R Whites secret lemonade drinker or Lowe has the awareness of a cabbage.
