I’d also add that the Baldock error aside it’s the most solid we’ve looked defensively for a while (other than the Sunderland match where the threat was minimal).

Cracking performance Blades, very much deserved that.

Suppose puts one or two of our sub-par performances into perspective too, if we can make as good a side as Derby are look that ordinary.

Stearman a rock at the back today.

Should have won. We were good first half, fantastic in the second. For fucks sake, our board, back the manager and bring in some quality players.

Shocking performance from Carruthers, not sure the lad even looks where he is passing the ball.

Overall bang avarage performance and neither side looked like scoring many. We lack creativity in the final third and the sooner we start doing some transfer business the better.
Wasn't an avarage performance for me. Would have been one nil except for a daft pen. We was the better side from start to finish. I agree our cutting edge has gone a little and without the availability of Brooks we have nothing off then bench. But overall I'm very pleased with that performance considering Satdehs shambles.

And Carruthers! The lad's struggling to do the basics. He did a job for us last season but it's time to move him on and bring someone in who can offer something.

Thought that was an excellent performance by the Blades - by far the better team for 90% of the game.

Two things really pissing me off at the moment though. 1) We can't cross for shit. Awful deliveries for the entire game apart from one moment of class from one of our strikers... a striker ffs - why can't the midfielders and wingers do the same? 2) Why are we completely unprepared to shoot from outside the box. We had numerous good opportunities to get a shot in but chose the wrong option every time (apart from Caruthers who can't hit a barn door).

The Board need no more evidence that we need quality and we need it now. 1 or 2 decent additions and we are winning games like this. This division has nothing to fear.

Great point but is it enough for what we want to achieve , after our first team we have nothing left for back up , Duff went off and Carruthers came on and f00ked up every thing he touched , we really need a player like Brooks its such a pity he is going !
No evidence at all he is going. He is ill with tonsillitis.

Really you would drop Lundstram who has been one of our better players recently? You would rather have Basham running about in the midfield? I despair sometimes.
absolutely i would, because whilst he has indeed had 3 or 4 decent performances he isn't yet at the experience and quality level needed. what i see is many times when we break fast it gets slowed up with a sideways pass. you might despair but we are all entitled to opinions !

Moore is to blame for nothing since his return. Pretty much agree with the rest.
my point is not so much he is to BLAME per se, but a team build confidence when you have consistency and a structure, so why break that up? i still don't believe Moore commands the 6 yard box like Blackman though, if only cos he is a bloody giant

Kevin Gage, at the match, says Lunny was outstanding today. I’m inclined to accept that.

i wonder what is wrong with Enda Stevens, he just doesn't seem to have the confidence to go round the full back and whip a ball in like earlier in the season> seems to want to play the ball back most often. maybe he needs a rest ?? plenty of chances today to whip in crosses from both wings. Boldock looks a real consistent threat when they give him the ball. as many have said we just miss that cutting edge in the final 1/3rd . Duffy is the main creator, God help us if he gets injured

He was very good again. I think the sideways passing has more to do with tiredness than anything else.

Fans often scream ‘shoot’ in ludicrous circumstances. Player off balance or without momentum, often has a wall of opposition shirts in front, sometimes 35 yards out. It’s comical to hear them at times.

Some fans are also extremely patronising.

From all accounts (I hasten to add I wasn’t there) Richard Stearman was outstanding today. Kevin Gage certainly thought so.

I do hope he gets credit where it’s due but I’m expecting Radio Silence from those pursuing the Agenda.

The only downside is that Villa thrashed Bristol 5-0 and shunted us out of the playoffs

I’ve watched the highlights, looks pretty clear that it was Baldock who gave away the penalty.

No need to go to spec savers then. No one is doubting that, maybe a whoosh moment for you. Players make mistakes. They're human beings. Slating him like that mid game is a bit sad. Hero to zero seems to be the favourite game for some.

There certainly was a whoosh moment.

Didn' see game but mate told me we were very good. Said before game I'd be happy with point but....when I'm told we deserved all 3?...well done blades, at last we've a special manager for our special club. UTB

of course apprehensive, as i had derby to win title preseason probally mention at home game end of August, as for me they have the best squad such depth only have to look at bench to proof that. coupled with for me 1 of Football League best managers in gary rowett.

so relieved to hear we had stepped up our level back up massively from bolton, seems like we dominated again. which is why its a shame tiny errors keep costing us. 2nd game in 4 now we've given away a penalty which was deserved but. what happened to rule i think i learnt on mnf from gary neville dont touch attackers in box & give them excuse. although baldock did make up for it over the 90. & that clarke goal to equalise is absoulte corker id go as far to say its the best sheff utd goal ive seen this year :D

so to get 4pts off derby in manner that we did is brilliant. although im sure its getting frustrating for Chris wilder how inconsistent we are. because since the last international break. we have been so patchy play great then we are terrible & its same again today

I don't want to disappoint anyone but when facts are that when the home team scores first there is an 80% chance of the away team then losing the game :(

But you are talking about non Chris Wilder teams :)
