considering we are only playing decent and theres obviously plenty more to come- we are unbeaten and reckon we should be pushing for automatic promotion this year. We already look like promotion contenders.
No we arent not yet let’s see after the next 8 as we are going to be playing much stronger teams

Souttar put in a great cross!!!.
You are right about players and good crossing positions. Raki Saki has a tendency to play safe or try to dribble with it. Plus he doesn't get into the box when the ball is being crossed from the opposite side.

We could have had a hat full of goals today. O'Hare was poor all through and never got on the same wavelength with Moore. I thought Moore had his best game so far. But wasn't as effective as he could be with better decision making in the final third by himself and O'Hare and Saki.

Souttar, Hamer and Peck played really well. Peck looked comfortable at this level.
I thought sometimes OHare was actually not quick enough to keep up with Moore when they broke together. Which is a bit of a surprise given my impressions of both players before we signed them. Ive liked OHare so far, but the 'running in treacle' comment from Coventry fans does seem true.

I know what you mean. !-0 up makes subs and we win 1-0. What a fucking clown he is.
Right then smart ***** so we get to the end the season and miss out on promotion due to goal difference you're going to post on here you agreed with all CW,s substitutions
I actually like Moore he's brilliant at holding up but when the end of the game starts to open up you'll put money on him sprinting 40 yards to take those opportunities
We dominated today and derby never looked like scoring
You want to take the piss out of people go to pork talk they'll love you !!

Spot on, exactly as I saw it.

We need a lot more cutting edge up front.
Moore leads the line well, links it all together.. but he lacks ruthlessness in front of goal.

Rak-Sakyi lacked ambition.
Their LB was there to be attacked. Brooks & Seriki tore him apart when they came on. Yet JRS just wanted to check back and find Burrows. He slows our attacks down and only seems capable of coming inside onto his left foot.
Brooks needs to start next game but I'm by no means writing JRS off yet.

O'Hare - busy. But the end product is lacking.
He takes too many touches and seems to panic the closer to goal he gets.
He links well with Hamer but I hope there's a lot more to come from him.

Hamer stands out massively and we're becoming too reliant on him.
Too many of our players shy away from taking decisive action and pass that responsibility onto him. It's a fantastic goal from a FK.
If he doesn't score that, do we ever breakdown a poor Derby side?

Souza dominated the middle of the park and was much better in possession. A very solid performance from him.
Peck has set the standard so high with that Cup performance that I felt a little disappointed in his showing today. He looked a little bit lost in the first half and a few passes went astray.
He grew into it though and didn't look out of place by the end.

My man of the match was Harry Souttar.
His timing was impeccable. His use of the ball was outstanding. He won everything in the air.
It's the best centre half performance I've seen from a Sheff Utd player in a long, long time.

Shout outs to Burrows and Seriki. Also looked very good today.

Souttar was amazing he also got two headers across the box from corners that were begging to be put in.

My only groan is how wasteful we are up top. Thankfully Derby were shit and were barely up our end in 2nd half.

Yep. It’s strange. In the final phase he’s ending up in the position of being the player playing someone in or knocking it across for the tap in, when he’s supposed to be on the end of it.
Moore is always looking for a pass.
He needs to take responsibility + shoot.
Also , on several occasions today there was a colleague in a brilliant position to score ,but Moore either just doesn't see it or makes the wrong decision.
Upgrade needed if Wilder wants to persist with current shape.
He's 32 and too late to change.
He is what he is and tries hard.
But he's not a good fit which is a shame

Lots of positives today

1) a class GK and I mean class
2) Defenders who love defending
3) young lads who addd that bit of vibrancy to the team
4)I thought our ability to build play was excellent
5) Souza looked class in midfield
6) if there’s a better player than Hamer in the championship hats off to them
7) we create loads of chances

Things that need to be acted on … we must start to convert chances … particularly against the top teams that’s two games in a row we should have scored 4 goals.

We need a striker or two in Jan … Moore and Brewster will not score

Thought we played more solid today, except for the first few seconds Derby never laid a finger on us. Moore puts a shift in and has opportunities but he needs a finisher alongside him , Hamer was man of match for me, just in front of Souttar, Rak-Sakyi didn't offer much and Brooks looked livelier when he came on, overall a decent showing and another win utb

Yes. Took so many wrong options but at least he was there. I too wish he would shoot. But think of the pelters he’d get if he missed the 3 shooting opportunities he had today. On balance I’ve got to be happy and fairly confident going forward.

brooks has to come in for rak - saki at portsmouth who for me has been dissapointing might do ohare good to be benched as well his ball control was so poor today

Yeah, does feel to me like JRS might be well suited to a brief rest, does seem like the archetypal impact sub. Wouldn't say no to your first point

That one breakout in the first half when he couldn't get clear really highlighted his lack of pace for direct running. It was a surprising weakness but I think he can make up for that with being quick on the turn and good movement off the ball. Today though he wasn't effective at anything,

I agree with most of your points but would say that

4) we "build play" a touch too slowly and we play "in front of" opponents defence too much - so many times today we had a player on a wing with yards of green around & ahead of him - it was crying out for a quick pass beyond him for him to run onto but we never did it , much to my frustration.

7) we don't create the sort of chances that get put away - 3 times today Moore only had to slide a teammate in for a goal but he just can't do it , nor does he try to beat a defender and take a shot - it's about time he is dropped or at least hooked at HT for Campbell.
If it turns out that Campbell is worse then fair enough , put Moore back in , but we are going to suffer from all these missed opportunities once we encounter teams from the top half.

I honestly think that Brewster is fated not to bag for us - he needs a change of club - I would at least try Campbell before him.

I’d agree with all of that …

I would also add that JRS is looking an expensive loan signing for what he offers both going forward and coming back

Legs are very short - so is each stride - poor lad has to go with what he's got

Fuck me have we all got amnesia when it comes to last season really ? Enjoy we are a work in progress or fuck off and support the swine 🐷 does my fucking swede in ♥️

I would add to this that personally I wasn’t overly happy with his reaction to brooks second half…

O’hare held on to the ball far too long before releasing it to brooks in the first place

I don't remember his reaction to brooks but we do have a bit of a problem with players going tippy tappy in tight spaces. At times we are trying to walk it in to the goal.

When I first saw JRS in the last 15 mins v QPR , I thought we really had a star winger who could beat defenders at will and cause havoc.
But my excitement has been dampened in subsequent displays.

He's stopped trying to go round the outside and persistently cuts inside to shoot with his left - he does this when a pass or cross would be a better option.
And what comes to mind is him hitting a defenders leg and the ball going up in the air. Needs coaching out of him.

Also , he is totally ineffective when we're out of possession - he doesn't have the first clue how to track back , close down or tackle.
Needs coaching into him.
We are not a superior enough team to carry him.

Accordingly , Brooks must now start ahead of him as he contributes much more.
Until JRS learns to correct the above two deficiencies , he'll have to be an impact sub - i don't care what Palace or their fans think.
JRS can replace one of Brooks , O'Hare or Hamer according to what the situation demands

He's young and still learning it's a big step for him and he Almost scored early on but most of what you say is spot on
Personally Brooks would be first name in team. Sheet for me as I think he is developing Into a real star and needs playing

Maybe wrong, but my comment today to daughter was he is a “luxury player”. But when Brookes comes in he’s so much more productive in terms of work rate and commitment BUT FFS BROOKSY, release the ball! You don’t have to beat the man 3 times or 3 men once. It’s a youth team thing. Time to grow up and play the percentages. If only he could eliminate that from his game he’d be superb.

I am so enjoying Brooks performances this season , he's grown in confidence and added very positive aspects to his play , it's great to see a player developing before your eyes 😃

I see Brooks on the left, Hamer in the middle and O'Hare on the bench as an option.

So what you're saying is your opinions/comments are the only ones on this forum that counts then
Not at all. However, ridiculing substitutions which lead to us winning and not conceding a single shot in the second half is just plain stupid. Some people just have to find something to complain about. Sad really.
