I still shake my head at CW,s substitutions ,why not use Campbell ( is he not match fit yet ? )
Granted the game naturally opened up but we seemed to finish strong? What's the issue?

Moore is frustrating as it's so close to clicking! Keep his head up and hope crowd don't get on his back as a lot of what he does is good.

Other than their shot that hit the post first half I didn't feel nervous at all today. We really are starting to get a solid look about us.

No disrespect to Derby but what a easy afternoons work. Very professional performance. Would have been nice to see a couple more chances go in but I'm not greedy I'll take that.

Well on top for the whole game really. I have forgot just what a drop in quality the championship is

i thought that was a great result today, all credit to derby, they were brilliant, they raised their game for the big occasion & we had to be right at it, we couldve lost that easily. the only criticism for all our dominance & chances we created. we couldn't score from open play

Keiffer moore reminds me of david mcgoldrick. a good player but like didzy he isnt a no9. he needs someone up with him

Yep. It’s strange. In the final phase he’s ending up in the position of being the player playing someone in or knocking it across for the tap in, when he’s supposed to be on the end of it.

yeah it was a few times where he was knocking down great balls. but he cant get on the end of his own knockdowns

Another solid game where we never looked like conceding. Really need to put sides like this to bed but I’m sure it will come.
Bringing Seriki and Brooks on to run the Derby left side ragged was a joy to watch.

Anyone else notice how many times the ref was in the way and prevented a decent pass forwards? Most obvious was the free kick second half on the right side of their box. Stood right in the way of it being pulled back.

Get out of the fucking way!

if derby carry on playing like that their going down they were awful if we had anything in the final 3rd it would have been 5 - 0 easily anel and soutts strolled through the game but once again very dissapointed with ohare and rak saki plus we need to be playing 2 recognised strikers in home games brooks has to start next game souttar motm but peck only just behind him really impressed with him today ⚔️

I like the winning feeling. If we get promoted can we refuse to go up? 😁
I’m not impressed with Moore so far. I hope I am wrong.

FT 1-0

Positives were it was a convincing, very comfortable win. The defence is consistently impressive meaning Cooper has almost nothing to do.

Think our best players were Hamer who shows moments of PL class, at times it’s a joke he’s playing in the Championship, also very impressed with Souttar, totally commands defence and the whole defence were really impressive again. You never felt nervous that Derby could equalise.

However in some ways Sereki deserves a mention in a man of the match award. He came on as right back but showed some brilliant wing play dribbling past his man and whipping in fast crosses, as a winger he was better than Brooks and JRS.

Negatives were we still don’t look right up top so we didn’t create many clear chances however think you have to give credit to Warnes Derby who were very negative but almost got a 0-0.

Our weakest players were either O’Hare, he works hard and gets stuck in but didnt impress like he can do. Thought Peck had a dodgy 1st half, mainly because he was stuck in the centre circle waiting for the ball where as Blaster is great at moving into space close to the defenders showing for the ball, so he links defence with midfield. Peck improved 2nd half but he can’t do the defensive midfielder role as well as Blaster.

Also Moore had a strange game, heavy involvement and did some good things but also did some poor things with misplaced fairly easy passes where an accurate pass would have probably lead to a goal.

Overall I’d give our performance 6 or 7 out of 10. We did what we needed to do. Thankfully it looks like we have a defence that are going to pick up loads of clean sheets.

What we are not doing yet is getting players into good crossing positions. If we can Burrows forward more, it will be Moore attacking the crosses. As the loan striker, he is the one bringing the various attacking midfielders into the game, particularly when we counter attack.

considering we are only playing decent and theres obviously plenty more to come- we are unbeaten and reckon we should be pushing for automatic promotion this year. We already look like promotion contenders.

I'm surprised at the stick Moore is getting I thought it was his best game but I wasn't at the game so will differ

Souttar put in a great cross!!!.
You are right about players and good crossing positions. Raki Saki has a tendency to play safe or try to dribble with it. Plus he doesn't get into the box when the ball is being crossed from the opposite side.

We could have had a hat full of goals today. O'Hare was poor all through and never got on the same wavelength with Moore. I thought Moore had his best game so far. But wasn't as effective as he could be with better decision making in the final third by himself and O'Hare and Saki.

Souttar, Hamer and Peck played really well. Peck looked comfortable at this level.

Spot on, exactly as I saw it.

We need a lot more cutting edge up front.
Moore leads the line well, links it all together.. but he lacks ruthlessness in front of goal.

Rak-Sakyi lacked ambition.
Their LB was there to be attacked. Brooks & Seriki tore him apart when they came on. Yet JRS just wanted to check back and find Burrows. He slows our attacks down and only seems capable of coming inside onto his left foot.
Brooks needs to start next game but I'm by no means writing JRS off yet.

O'Hare - busy. But the end product is lacking.
He takes too many touches and seems to panic the closer to goal he gets.
He links well with Hamer but I hope there's a lot more to come from him.

Hamer stands out massively and we're becoming too reliant on him.
Too many of our players shy away from taking decisive action and pass that responsibility onto him. It's a fantastic goal from a FK.
If he doesn't score that, do we ever breakdown a poor Derby side?

Souza dominated the middle of the park and was much better in possession. A very solid performance from him.
Peck has set the standard so high with that Cup performance that I felt a little disappointed in his showing today. He looked a little bit lost in the first half and a few passes went astray.
He grew into it though and didn't look out of place by the end.

My man of the match was Harry Souttar.
His timing was impeccable. His use of the ball was outstanding. He won everything in the air.
It's the best centre half performance I've seen from a Sheff Utd player in a long, long time.

Shout outs to Burrows and Seriki. Also looked very good today.
