Subsequent events have shown that Duffy was a good fit for United and that United were a good fit for Duffy.

Unfortunately for him we have seen substantial growth we no longer fit together as we once did.

A bit like that favourite shirt from years ago that we all kept but can no longer fit into.

Time to put it on one side and move on to something new.

If he'd stayed & kept his head down I think there was still a role for Duffy coming off the bench. Don't blame Wilder at all for the stance he took on it though & think the benefit of him having done that will ultimately outweigh anything Duffy could have brought to the table this season.

Unfortunately unless the PL changes it’s rules for the final lot of games, it wouldn’t be possible. We’ve had to name a 25 man squad which Duffy isn’t part of.
