my view is shite! i went on that thing that some one posted and i can harldy see other end of the pitch just like arsenal boooo

edit we are on the lower tier at man city arent we? dont think i could get up too many sets off stairs with my 'severley sprained ankle'

sf if youre driving i read somewhere that the best thing to do is to drive to the stadium turn round and drive back the way you came from then your pointing right way to get out and saves you plenty of time. thats probably not helpful to you but not to worry lol

That's what I generally try to do at all away matches.

The problem with most new stadiums is that they tend to build them in areas with little normal street parking.

yeah the parking is very bad around man city's ground and probably not that safe...i have been told that if you pack within 100m of the ground the stewards don't let you drive away until every fan is of the road

its r8 easy to find man city stadium

Think parking is alright near new ground not a bad area like the old ground was - Moss Side.

We are getting the train in to Manchester:)

BBC match preview

SHEFFIELD UNITED got their first victory on the board since securing promotion last time out. It came courtesy of a long distance shot in stoppage time from captain Phil Jagielka, against Middlesbrough at Bramall Lane. Now the Blades are aiming to complete back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time in over 12 years. WELL DUR! COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT OUT OF THE DIVISION COULD WE!!!!!?

The Blades have scored exactly 100 Premiership goals in their history, and a draw from this visit to the City of Manchester Stadium would take their all-time points tally in this League also to 100.

The Blades have drawn four and lost four League visits to Manchester City since gaining a 2-3 victory in the old second Division on 10 October 1987. It's 32 years since the south Yorkshire club last won a top flight game on City soil (0-1 on 16 March 1974).

Idiot on Man City's website reckons City will cruise to a 2-0 win and reckons our strikers are crap, he's obviously not seen Hulse then.

has there been a proper rendition of robbie hulse robbie hulse he gets the ball and scores a goal yet?

ps what are the 5 squares on this thread?

I think I heard the chant at the Boro game. Not sure what the squares are though.

Think we're (me, Foxy, SF and Tommy) going into the City centre early doors to see what we can find :)

should be a good game I feel. Parking is not that brill around the stadium, although i saw Oasis play there last summer and there were several fields open for parking spanning about 3 miles upto the ground. ot sure if such a thing is available on matchdays tho?

P.s does anyone know if the game is on tv because I can't make it from Newcastle this week and plan on watching it somewhere if it's on??? Cheers Adam

there are some websites that do it adam not sure if its leagal though doubt any pubs up your end will be showing it but some in sheffield do

it isn't legal and i'd appreciate it if people refrain from posting links on here.

Just as an update:

We set off to manchester at 10am, in my car which cost £480 to get thru MOT just yesterday. Before we'd reached the peak district or left the outskirts of sheffield, my clutch went!

so we've had to limp back home and borrow my uncles car!

As I type we are just passing bamford.

Lets hope my luck this weekend changes for the match!

Great result espacally with it being an away game. From what Peter Reid was saying about the game we played really well and could have been better had Hulse scored with that overhead kick but can't complain a draw and that's us out of the relegation zone now :)

Vital point could of been 3 but we sound far more solid at the back and have a settled starting 11 finally. Maybe should think about moving to 4-4-2 Hulse needs someone alongside him really.

Great performance, just needed a goal to top it.

Man City were there for the taking and their fans aren't happy bunnies at all.

Just going to do the pictures then offski to the pubski :D

we seem so unlucky not to be scoring time and again. I think(hope) this will come with time. Watched the wigan game today (couldn't find a pub with blades game) and they were shit in the second half, manure deserved their win to be fair. Graet point puts us above them now too and out of the dreaded drop zone. UP THE BLADES

I heard you all singing in the backgroud of a report on Sky this afternoon, I felt right proud to be a Blade

Quick summary of the day while I'm waiting for the pictures to upload.

Set off from mine at about 10am. Heading towards Fox House when, just shy of the start of the Peak District, Foxy's car decided that it wasn't just over-revving, it was also going to stop accelerating. So after crawling the 5 miles home at 10mph, we picked up another car and an hour later we were back Fox House!

After a horrible foggy journey, we found the ground and that big bloody rusty spiky thing at about half 12 and decided we hadn't got time to find a decent pub so we had a wander around the ground taking some picture etc. Ground is a lot more impressive than the Emirates from the outside and a lot more interesting.

Went inside with our fancy swipey tickets and headed straight to the bar when a two pinter can be bought for £5.50 to save you going back to the bar twice :D Watched Wigan v. Man Utd for a bit and then went to seats.

Where Tommy had convinced Alan Quinn to give him his crappy Man City shirt that they were all warming up in. Stewards were a bit close so we haven't got many match pictures.

Early sense that City were there for the taking but United weren't decisive enough in the final third. Best chance of the half was Hulse's overhead kick on to the bar (the build-up of which I didn't see, had to go for a piss after drinking said Two Pinter).

Second half was more of the same with Paddy only half tested by their shots... many of which went well wide. Quinn was working hard but Gillespie was cutting inside a little too much to be effective. A few misplaced passes from United's midfield were often more to blame for our attacks breaking up than any good defending from Man City.

Final whistle went to a chorus of boos from the home supporters with an overall positive performance from the Blades away from home. With Man City's home record and our away, could we really have expected any other result? :)
