Asked about the Lys Mousset case after the friendly match between Bochum and PEC Zwolle, German club coach Thomas Letsch briefly answered the question about the 26-year-old player. "There is still a lot of room for improvement," he said in a few words without giving more details about Lys Mousset's situation.

While some have doubts about Mousset's physical condition, which has meant that he was prescribed a fitness and nutrition program as soon as he arrived at the club, other club observers criticise him for his lax, non-professional attitude and a lack of commitment within the German training.

For his part, Thomas Letsch seems determined to do without the Franco-Senegalese striker in a period when Bochum, 17th in the Bundesliga, is fighting for maintenance, informs Vfl-magazin.de. According to the German magazine, Bochum would thus seek to separate from Lys Mousset except that it turns out to be something not so simple since the player born in Montivilliers has a contract that runs until 2024. In addition, it will be difficult to find a club to be seriously interested in a player who has not played 90 minutes since 2019.

Therefore, it seems complicated to find a drop-off point in Lys Mousset both financially and sportingly. What is certain is that Vfl Bochum already regrets having bet on this potential in perdition which, whatever we can say, aroused a lot of hope in Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

Fack....in.....hell.

He's got a contract with Bochum until 2024 so probably another 18 months of paying for this wasters wages before they can get rid of the leech. No doubt they are contributing financially to the costs of his loan to the Iranian club for 6 months - probably hoping he will get some football under his belt and get fit....come to think of it, didn't a certain other club try that with him... and that failed miserably...

So the question is, which other club are gunna be fkin dumb enough to take a punt on his 'potential' in the summer of 2024 (provided he hasn't already had his contract with Bochum paid off of early of course)? I'm going for a Chinese club where he can stuff his face with sweet and sour chicken or stodgy pancake rolls for next to nowt. The little piglet will be well happy whilst another club thinks 'what have we landed ourselves with here...... fack..in...hell'.
 
They only had to do thier homework before signing him.. 😂😂

Eddie Howe must have bought lottery tickets the day we signed him, but we got a some value with important goals..

Still he once scored a goal at Everton, so they makes all the money he's taken out of his numerous clubs as wages for doing the grand total of fuck all and everything since, just dandy (according to some village idiots on here).

How the fuck can something probably be a fact? Unless of course it can’t. Unless someone is talking utter bollocks. And you’d have to be a Grade A fuckwit to believe we owe Mousset anything more then he’s already rinsed us for.

Mousset won us about 10/15 points in the Prem

Them points = positions the further up you finish the more money you make


I’m not disagreeing he has tossed his career down the pan he has due to a number of reasons

But to say we owe him money is nonsensical when he probably made us £10/20 mill in the Prem

After a spell without a club, Mousset signed a two-year deal at Vonovia Ruhrstadion in mid-August but familiar fitness issues delayed his debut, with Bochum boss Thomas Letsch putting Mousset on an individual fitness plan earlier in the season.

He is still to make his first competitive appearance for Bochum and now may never do so, with German media outlet bild reporting that Mousset has been suspended over a "lack of motivation, unpunctuality and unprofessionalism".

Sounds familiar.

It's not too late, but it doesn't look promising.

Can't say it's a huge surprise. And just think - some on here were suggesting Utd should offer him another contract.

Perhaps CW's knobhead test wasn't as robust as it could have been. Perhaps an even bigger waste of talent than Jose Baxter. It will be interesting to see long his hanger-on mates stick around when the £1m contracts end and the Lambos disappear.
