Unused at Vfl Bochum, Senegalese striker Lys Mousset has not played a single minute in the Bundesliga championship since his arrival in Germany in August 2022. The club would consider separating from Sheffield United's former striker who does not offer guarantees to the club.
What's wrong with Lys Mousset? This is the big question that deserves to be asked at a time when the Franco-Senegalese striker is going through difficult times in Germany. Transferred to Bochum in August 2022, the former Sheffield United centre has so far not played any Bundesliga match after 15 days. A difficult situation that the club seeks to solve internally.
Asked about the Lys Mousset case after the friendly match between Bochum and PEC Zwolle, German club coach Thomas Letsch briefly answered the question about the 26-year-old player. "There is still a lot of room for improvement," he said in a few words without giving more details about Lys Mousset's situation.
While some have doubts about Mousset's physical condition, which has meant that he was prescribed a fitness and nutrition program as soon as he arrived at the club, other club observers criticise him for his lax, non-professional attitude and a lack of commitment within the German training.
For his part, Thomas Letsch seems determined to do without the Franco-Senegalese striker in a period when Bochum, 17th in the Bundesliga, is fighting for maintenance, informs Vfl-magazin.de. According to the German magazine, Bochum would thus seek to separate from Lys Mousset except that it turns out to be something not so simple since the player born in Montivilliers has a contract that runs until 2024. In addition, it will be difficult to find a club to be seriously interested in a player who has not played 90 minutes since 2019.
Therefore, it seems complicated to find a drop-off point in Lys Mousset both financially and sportingly. What is certain is that Vfl Bochum already regrets having bet on this potential in perdition which, whatever we can say, aroused a lot of hope in Bournemouth and Sheffield United.
Describing his as even a semi-pro seems a bit generous to him.

How about a free transfer back to us?Champagnewhere does he go when this Iranian side realise what he's like? The Faroe Islands ? Side after side keep falling for it but I'm guessing nobody is paying him anything other than appearance money now.
Fallowfield are you sure he's not a waster ?
How about a free transfer back to us?
Same with Burke thread. Edinblade be having a field day with mods.Surely this is out of Blades chat now?
It's just ex player gossip.
If he is to pay United about £25k a week for the privilege of being a United player then that's not such a bad idea.
Weasel bearing in mind you get an extra £1 million for every position in the Prem further up you finish
We probably owe Lys a lot more than £25,000
Just FACTS
He's quite funny mate is a fallowfield imagine speaking too him in person. You would be amazed. You would sit in your chair rubbing your ear. Hmmmmm.Your post makes zero sense. I'm presuming you have been at the Christmas sherry.
Anyway I can't be bothered to debate this any longer with someone clearly talking out of their arse or drunk.
Lys Mousset. A waster in his football career. Just a FACT.
Anyway more importantly. Shouldn't you be busy making up another whizzbanger of a thread title for tomorrow's match? Something really side splitting as always like 'Fallowfields team for the Coventry Cocksuckers' or something else just as 'hilarious'?
How the fuck can something probably be a fact? Unless of course it can’t. Unless someone is talking utter bollocks. And you’d have to be a Grade A fuckwit to believe we owe Mousset anything more then he’s already rinsed us for.Weasel bearing in mind you get an extra £1 million for every position in the Prem further up you finish

After a spell without a club, Mousset signed a two-year deal at Vonovia Ruhrstadion in mid-August but familiar fitness issues delayed his debut, with Bochum boss Thomas Letsch putting Mousset on an individual fitness plan earlier in the season.
He is still to make his first competitive appearance for Bochum and now may never do so, with German media outlet bild reporting that Mousset has been suspended over a "lack of motivation, unpunctuality and unprofessionalism".
Sounds familiar.

What a player he could be...I really hope the penny drops with him.
It's not too late, but it doesn't look promising.

So you’re saying he could come back on a free !![]()
Bochum suspend Mousset indefinitely
VfL Bochum confirmed the suspension of French striker Lys Mousset on Monday afternoon. After multiple performance and disciplinary issues, signs now point to a contract termination with the former Premiership talent.bulinews.com
"We kept giving him a chance, now there's no point," Fabian said from the club's Andalusian base, "This is fairly disappointing as we, of course, had sporting hopes for him. At a certain point, it comes time to preserve [discipline] for the entire group."
There's no way he'll get a club after this, surely no one will touch him again.
