There’s a very easy way. Freeman takes Fleck’s place. Moose and Oli up front. Better team.

Yes that would be the obvious swap. Fleck has been very good at times this season [thought he was immense first half v Southampton in particular], but he doesn't have the flair or energy of Freeman from what I have seen so far.

Over the years we've seen many teams come to the Lane who have players with lightening speed.

I cannot think of us having such a player.

Maybe Kyle Walker but we never had a real chance of witnessing that.

It's a good point. I'm sure we've had plenty of players who could get a decent 100m time, but in terms of players who can actually put their pace to use on a football pitch, I'm struggling to remember any.

Luton Shelton was rapid. Shame he didn't really have the technical ability to match.

The least heralded of the attacking signings, but looks by far the best.

His value could soon cover the fees spent on the rest of them.

I’ve often said that football can be a bit weird and we should support our players.

Some of our fans were slagging off Lundstrum even before the Palace home game.
I mentioned that he could be a major player this season and might even end up being our star midfielder for years.

Some of our fans slagged off the signing of Lys Mousett, saying his record is shocking and we‘ve massively overpaid.
i suggested that even this season he could be our number 1 striker.

My point was not to write off players before they’ve even kicked a ball and just stay patient.

Good point. Applies to Callum Robinson as well. Still needs time to adjust and develop. CW will no doubt give him time. I believe he will eventually make an impact.

Lundstrum surely is a story of not writing a player off at all, even after they have kicked a vall. It's clichéd but I trust Wilder's judgement on footballers a lot more than my own. He'll give enough time to the players he knows will come good and get rid of the shit once it isn't working.

The guy's going to carry us. We need him to....

Super finish today. To have scored 3 (arguably 4?) already is a nice surprise. Loved that bit of skill over on the left side too.

I never imagined there'd be such a gulf between him and Robinson - who looks out of his depth. Not sure why he started over Sharp or McBurnie.

Today Robinson was actually awful, he wasn't running, he was getting face on when he didn't get the ball, but he wasn't getting the ball because he was closing on people with all the menace and pace of a Little Tykes Coupé.

I've given him a break previously because of service, but today I think he's really put himself down the order.

Said it on another thread, just take him out of the team, get him in the gym, get him comfortable with running. He'll be like a new signing in the new year.

Yeah, maybe an intense November pre season would be a good idea for him.

And possibly a loan in January to try and kick on and put it all together again.

That move over on the left hand side was so simple and yet so brilliant. It’s things like that which distinguishes him from our other strikers.

Robinson looks completely shot of confidence, he’s not in anyway a better option than Sharp or McBurnie and needs taking out of the team for a while

It's gotta be Moose and Billy to start next few games at least
Robinson seems totally disinterested or overawed by it all.
Just walking about aimlessly today,no purpose about him at all.

Really well taken goal yesterday.

He's got pace, guile skill and best of all a goal scorers instinct.

At the moment he is looking like our main man and talisman up front this season.

Just wish he didn't run out of puff so quickly.

Mcgoldrick out then ?
Do you have a clue about the game?

Can't lie would love to see McGoldrick behind Billy and Moose vs Burnley. But then who to drop in midfield...?

I think the Moose is a great striker.
But he does appear to tire after 45-60 mins.
I am not a sports physio , but as a lay observer , I am worried that , having been training with us for so long , his stamina is not improving.

Can anyone explain how a professional young athlete could be taking so long to reach full fitness ?

Presumably his cardiovascular system was checked over before he signed ?

Peak fitness is alot different to stamina. Fitness is a short term fix. Stamina can take months and months to show an improvement. Could take 3/4 of season before his stamina shows considerable improvement.
