I don't think Dack was ever realistic Frieth, whereas Freeman is. Joe Lolley is perhaps the other most realistic option but he'd be more like £8m I would guess. Forest have more money than QPR and don't need to sell.

I'd love us to bring Lolley in but I don't think he'll leave Forest unfortunately

I think Freeman's as good to be fair, but just not as high profile. Freeman is possibly the most similar to Duffy too.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Lolley plays more of a box to box role.
Both would be great signings in my opinion.

Sky have different sources to the rest of us, put it that way
Will there be anything in the star tomorrow?

Just to echo other posters sentiments, how come the star is simply using other websites as stories for rumoured transfer.

Are you guys not allowed to write what you actually know or is that you don’t get to hear anything?

I did wonder if Joe Lolleys tweet saying his player of the season was noting to do with his teammates might have not impressed Wilder?! Might be seeing more into it and it might have been a joke, but it didn't come across well on Twitter when you don't know whether he's joking or not.

Apparently Talksport saying second bid turned down

Just listened to Talksport's sports headlines now and there was no mention of Freeman or a big being turned down? Was it on their website mate?

Buy it and find out :)
(There’s no ‘agreement’ by the way)

It was definitely a joke. I follow him on Twitter and he does have a sarcastic sense of humour.
But yeah it could've been taken the wrong way. I'm fairly confident that it wouldn't have concerned Wilder though. I'm sure he's come across enough personalities in the game.

Haha you’ve got to love this today, we go in £4m ‘rejected’, £3m ‘agreed’, now a tweet saying £6m ‘undecided’ and they apparently want £10m.

Listening to the Undr the Cosh podcasts would suggest Holloway can be a loose cannon, so I’m not ruling out this sequence of events !

Is it? You asked if there was an agreement, I said there isn’t. Politicians don’t answer questions do they? :D

I was a bit harsh Danny, and fair play to you for being on the forum in the first place, especially as you'll know many Blades fans views on the Star (Save our Owls etc) but I just don't get why the Star doesn't seem to break any transfer news when surely it has the best relationship and access to the club? I'm not having a go at anyone individually but just seems that they're only summarising other news outlets re transfers.

Said on radio apparently (I didn't hear it)

Fair enough. I've known Sky be wrong re us although generally they're reliable. I reckon this Freeman deal will happen it just seems logical, maybe just a matter of time. He wants out, they'll be no one bigger than us going for him that's in the Prem and Wilder is apparently a long term fan so here's hoping!

Maybe, and like I said earlier in the thread [as I have numerous times before on here] I really hope we sign this lad. I have wanted us to for ages.

I just think that geography and relocation can play a significant part in players choosing whether or not to move. He may well jump at the chance to move up north if it gives him PL football. Or he may welcome the interest and hang on to see if a Palace or Watford [for instance] get wind and fancy a punt on him. He may also be very happy living in West London as an already wealthy young man. He may be settled with a partner, or not want to move too far from family.

Hopefully we can lure him, because I think this lad is a baller and would absolutely thrive with us. Just have a feeling we won't though, but would love to be proven wrong.
I hear what you are saying mate but it might also depend on what picture is being painted and who is painting it. Wilder is the football equivalent of Monet. We have to believe we have more to offer than Watford ,Palace et al. We could always get John Egan to sing him a song. And we only ever sign players who want to be here. Time will tell and whatever happens we are in for another exciting ride. UTB
Yes, who cares if we’re relegated as long as Bladey favourites ‘get a chance’. Givemarun. Sunday League thinking, S2 style.

[/QUOTE Where have you been for the last three seasons? I haven't seen any evidence of "Sunday League Thinking"

How arrogant are you to suggest Wilder et al are so small minded? You need to pay more attention mate to what people say specifically and keep your glass half empty attitude to yourself. Me thinks you might be the narrow minded one. Unless of course you have managed progressively from every division?

If so let's see your record, you might be worthy of a listen? UTB and can't wait to see Billy and Duffs gracing Premier League pitches, because they earned it and were pivotal pieces of the jigsaw who never ever ever ever lost faith and belief in themselves and the collective,to achieve the next goal.I doubt they think it stops there

Unlike some it might be argued.

If QPR don't post this is a done deal for £3m tonight it will be £2m tomorrow. The idiots could have had £4m yesterday.

Be very pleased if we managed to pull this off. If the £3m fee is correct then yet another great piece of business from wilder....

Add that to

Egan - £4m (reportedly less)
Norwood - £2m (reportedly less)
JOC - c£300k
Fleck - £0
Enda - £0
Duffy - £0
Baldock - c£300k

A £20m transfer kitty in wilders hands must equate to around £50m for your average manager.
