Had a thought that maybe the release clause can only be activated by clubs in a higher division (so qpr convince him to stay but won't stand in his way if a premiership move materialises)

This could explain the refused £5m only to sell him to us for less later down the line. Although I do rate him as a player I've never seen him linked with the prem before us, so assuming the bid was from a rival championship club.

I was at Loftus Road last season when we beat them 2-1. We were probably a bit lucky to win that day in honesty. I kept my eye on Luke Freeman as he’s always impressed me when I’ve seen him play - that day was no different.

He was QPR’s best player, along with Eze. He’s technically gifted, a good passer of the ball, doesn’t mind carrying it long distances forward. He’s brave and swift in his decision making and at times he was running the show.

He isn’t the best from an athletic standpoint and at times his final ball let down, but he looked an excellent player and I’m glad it looks like we’re bringing him in. He will be a good signing.

From my experience Danny, The Star this summer have only made headlines reporting rumours from other sources and haven't come up with their own headlines, other than to say we're interested in McBurnie, Maupay, Freeman etc.

It's made me think maybe the Star and the club have an agreement where the Star doesn't break any exclusives because that would piss the club off to be saying what we're doing that the club might not want to be common knowledge, whereas the national media don't care about the relationship with the club.

It's a similar story with Radio Sheffield. I always think when Radio Sheffield or the Star say somethings happening, its already happened or is about to be confirmed. You could argue that therefore the Star and Radio Sheffield are more reliable of course!
