With the general atmosphere and supporters' expectation I would be amazed if anyone wanted to join us - loanee or otherwise - unless it's just for the money.
We don't want players like that anyway. We want players who will thrive on the challenge, not shrink from it.

Yeh, we are worst fans in the country. The only ones who boo.
We're always a bit behind. Booing is so last year. Walking out is the new booing. It's also the intelligent option because you can beat the traffic or get an early pint in while the little chavs and the fat, bald fifty year olds make themselves look stupid by braying like cattle.

Yeah. Fuck us. We'll stay in the third division whilst the pigs enjoy the high times in the Pemier League.

Just liike the good old days.

If the club wanted a loan to cover the playoff final they should have done so in the JTW like a few other clubs did.Never mind the balderdash about waiting for the the JTW to strengthen they didn't.
Now they keep up the fantasy with the emergency 93 day loan chasing a Dan Burn a lot of talk but no decisive action.

I totally agree - but apart from billy and Brayford, who have we really taken on recently who is desperate to wear the shirt?

But I think we are amongst the least tolerant. That's not the fans' fault it's just the way is it after years of being starved of success by shit owners and management.

apart from billy and the beard who have we bought recently who was 'at their peak'.. ie not a kid with potential or some crock from the championship who 'used to be good'??

Can't stop laughing at the 'won't be available for the play off final if we bring them in now'

Firstly there will be no play off final and secondly if there was to be we need a couple of new players now to have any chance of winning enough games to make the play offs.

Ps Dan Burn on loan even funnier, Fulham wouldn't sell him to us so why are they going to loan him to us when he's a first team regular ?

Do you think we are a "welcoming" club at the moment?

Do you think we have been patient considering we have slid from Premier League to third division also-rans and serial playoff arsewipes in eight years?

How dare you quash the Dan Burn rumour, he's a hero round these parts and some even have his name tattooed on their nob.

Loans can be brought in with a view to buy we have done it before ,Howard from Barnsley and Horsefield from WBA both deals though
Didn't produce what we were looking for.Especially the Horsefield one, that was Warnock biggest mistake on transfers a million quid
spent on him and he was dire, at least we havn't signed Sammon .I don't aggree with the abuse he's getting (sat) but he reminds me
of the no show of Horsefield.

Agree that he was bobbins but the £3m spunked on Calamity Claude has to be Warnock's most expensive mistake surely?!!

Given the umpteen gazillion managers we have had since Warnock, no, I don't think we have been patient at all.
The position we are in is lamentable....I just don't think that quality League 1 candidates (if they exist) relish the idea of playing at BDTBL.
I have supported the Blades for 56 odd years and have witnessed all the playoff debacles since we played for penalties against Palace. I want us to go up I want us to have quality oppos; I want success. All I am saying is that I think that fortress Bramall Lane has become Cauldron Bramall Lane of late and I can understand why some players would find it unacceptably intimidating.
I think and hope we are singing from the same sheet

Exactly. Isn't that part of the problem? I think Adams and K Wallace have shown some effort and I think, in his own way, Baxter has too. Long has shown a lot of mental strength to cope with the abuse he got early in the season and McEv seems to be trying to take his captain's role seriously.
The rest look like they're going through the motions at times but with the likes of Basham and Coutts, I'm not sure if that's just down to their limitations as players or if they don't care.
I do get the feeling that for a lot of them, it's just a job; we're just another club in their careers. Could be wrong.

I think the secret is hidden in the text there.

They are all at their limitations of their abilities. Other clubs can't be wrong. If not, why weren't there more offers to take the bulk of them off our hands if we have made it no secret they are all billy big bags of shit?

I suspect we're paying some of them more than they are worth. I'd guess they're all on good money for L1 and none have looked good enough to entice a championship club.

Or a L2 club

Unless it's Pompey, of course. They are looking at Scougall now.

Two for one. Borrow Scougall, get a Collins for free.

Any loan must have instant impact or be worthless otherwise............never know,we might just grab a bobby Davison

Just thinking back to the Liverpool walkout, at what time would they have left if the prices had risen to £95.

I love the idea that 'no good players want to come to play here in league one'.

Yet somehow, against these so called odds, all the other successfully prompted clubs from this league managed it.

Bags of shit sums it up I am afraid.

Yes too true Bill, Adkins has mentioned lack of mental toughness to cope with the pressure cooker atmosphere at the Lane. Its a common theme all our recent managers have said similar but none have solved the problem.Adkins is charged with job now,I do understand the need for experienced players but that doasnt stop us getting players with pace and a hunger for success. In my opinion
Adkins is after that kind of player and I fully agree with him to keep
his powder dry until he can bring in
( as he says) the right ones.We have too often opted for 2nd best let's see if he managers it.Still all to play for this season
