Said yesterday that Wider's quit picking the same starting 11 as in the first two games..:p:p I guess that some of are ITK and others haven't a clue

Guess Bryan can play midfield

I'm desperately trying to make sense of this window now

Wilder's team building doesn't end tonight though mate. As it stands now we're short of attacking options but Wilder is still got the (dreaded) loan window and I'm sure he'll be looking to that as he's said. If we sign no one at the end of that then I'll be very concerned.

So we’re selling a 24 year old with potential to improve because we’ve got a 30 year old coming back from a broken leg?

Only at United!

Got an 18 year old home grown midfielder with more potential out on loan at Carlisle, but if he fulfills it, can we keep him?

Given over. Evans has been average at best. People moaned at our midfield been awful first few games, and now wilder is doing something about it. As he has always done when he’s identified issues or mistakes.

Can't see the major issue with Evans going to be honest. Now left with Coutts, Fleck, Lunny, Leonard, Bryan, Duffy, Woodburn...plenty of options and cover.

Don't forget kean Bryan can play holding midfielder

He might well have to now. We are seriously one or two injuries away from not being able to fill the bench atm.

Whatever happens in the loan windows needs to be spectacular

Has Evans gone then?

Doing something about it would be to sign someone!

Play Evans with Fleck and Duffy/Woodburn and he’ll look a better player.

I’m not saying we should keep him at any cost, but as things stand we need him in the squad and he has potential to improve.

Has Evans gone then?

Not yet but no confirmation either way. If he doesn't sign today permanently I would imagine they'll sign him on loan soon after with a fixed fee agreed for a permanent move in Jan. It hardly does Evans much confidence to have a move fall through and then keep him.

Well if he’s gone I didn’t really rate him but it does seem a strange one as he’d looked the best of the JTW signings (not saying a lot I know)

I also wonder what Ben Woodburn is thinking now, when he signed he said he was good friends with Lee Evans from Wales and looked forward to playing with him at club level.

I’m amazed that the moment that Evans is on the verge of being sold there’s an outcry, given plenty haven’t rated him and frankly wouldn’t have been too bothered to see Duffy come in for him Saturday.

It does feel as though any opportunity to complain and pile in on the club at the minute is being taken by a chunk of posters. The only reason I’d be unhappy with this deal is if it goes against the wishes of the manager. I’ve no reason to think there is, given that there are quite legit footballing reasons to do the deal.

What it does do though is further raise questions on our overall recruitment.

I’m fine with this. I’ve never been convinced by him. He’s ok but never looked like a good fit for our midfield.

If we got back what we paid for him or better it’s a good deal. We have loads of midfield players.

One question though.....why has Wilder sanctioned (assuming he has) the sale of a player that was in both of his starting lineups so far this season? Clutching a bit?

Failed to beat deadline - transfer is OFF. Giddings

Phew - we can all hail the messiah on Saturday.

Deal off apparently - I’m pleased to have kept a body at least

But how is he supposed to come back into the squad if the manager wanted shot of him I don’t know. Strange business all round imo.

Piss poor management of the situation from us and Wigan.... why leave it until this time to try and sort it? His head must be all over rthe place

He'll just move on a loan with a future buy price I would imagine.
