CONFIRMED Lee Evans to Wigan on loan to perm

Spot on apart from scoring two against Boro he's produced nothing of note.
Lunstrum will be a better player for us given time to develop. He takes a lot of stick but never hides.

Never fucking hides!? FFS! Your'e right in a sense because you can always see him arriving 3 seconds late and waving a leg vaguely at where his opponent or the ball used to be. I've never seen anything so ineffective on a football pitch since Chris bloody Guthrie.

Giddings has asked if Evans will move on loan and has been told the deals off. So why was it on in the first place unless Wigan were throwing silly money at it having got a wedge for Burn and needing to replace Power. Why isn't it still on now if the system now allows for a loan to permanent deal. All very mystifying. Hopefully we'll get some straight answers in the press conference tomorrow. Then again maybe not.

I'd heard that Lee Evans was indeed a comedian, but this takes it into the realms of fantasy.

Where's the plot, who writes it and who's the main protagonist?

How is he supposed to play again?! What is going on at this club of ours??

I've been told the negotiations were via Whatsapp video call and the transcript was as follows (allegedly):

KMc: Right Chris, before we go online this is our strategy. We'll start at £750k and let them whittle it down to £600k and let them think they've got a bargain. But £600k it is, OK?
CW: Yes boss
Wigan: We'll make you one offer. £1m, Take it or leave it.
KMc: Fuck off that's not our valuation
Wigan: OK, deals off

End of call

KMc: That'll show 'em Chris, Nobody messes with us anymore.
CW: Yes boss

They probably still haven't twigged.

Anyone considered that we didn’t get ours in, which was a condition of allowing Evans to move ?

It’s like a chain in a house move. Plenty can go wrong.

NONE OF WHICH IS NECESSARILY THE CLUBS FAULT !

Hope that’s shouty enough :)

Selling him could finance loanwages, loaning him wan't

Some proper tinpot ramshackle shit going down this transfer window even by our standards. We've gone from being shit in the transfer window to just being weird.

He didn’t put a transfer request in and didn’t agree personal terms. What’s the issue?

His morale probably won't be too high. Either Wilder was happy to sell him or he himself wanted to go. Hardly ideal when either you know the manager doesn't want you of or you yourself don't want to be here.

No other clubs in the area made any signings today, equally weird in my opinion, S6 aside who we all knew about.

selling him without a good replacement would have been bad.

Sell him with a good replacement and I wouldn't of cared about him going.

Perfectly reasonable position.

Something very similar happened on two occasions involving our lovely compatriots across the city and the 'European Champions Of Europe' who never actually won the trophy.

Seth Johnson
Crewe Alexandra
Peter Ridsdale/Leeds United

&

Simon Donnelly / Phil O'Donnell
Celtic FC
Dave Richards/PIGS

Even Roald Dahl couldn't have written something so unexpected.

That's the problem, we're making ourselves look as stupid as those two with our transfer dealings.

What is going on?

Evans. £750k for a Current Welsh international who CW rates enough to start him in our so called strongest starting line up, agreeing to sell to a Championship rival !!

Why are we agreeing to sell him?

CW now can’t play him as he obviously thinks we won’t miss him or is not good enough after the last two games.

Do we need to release his wages?? If so, that in itself is a concern.

On the Waghorn issue. Are we supposed to believe there is not one more forward that the club thinks is worth signing perminatley????

The big list we are told of targets for each position wasn’t quite as long as first thought.

There is the £5m we were prepared to buy Waghorn that seems to have disappeared.

It all sounds like the film Carry On Up the Kieber.....

Not sure about that BII, always looks annoyed at being hooked and the times he was left on he didn't look to tired to me.
