CONFIRMED Lee Evans to Wigan on loan to perm

I would've said before the season started that I think Lundstram had more potential than Evans, but having seen Lundstram look fucked after 40 minutes twice this season, I don't think he'll show it anytime soon.

His confidence must be gone aswell now after those two performances where he looked completely out of it.

That said, I don't think Evans going is an issue, Lundstram or Leonard if you don't ask too much of them are adequate, and we might just change formation and style and need none of them, but the reasons he's going might potentially be because it seems like there's a foul mood over at the Lane.

I have always felt since last January that we were hugely top heavy in the midfield department.

Thinking about it, this makes a lot of sense.

I’m glad it’s not just me who sees this.

True that Coutts might not be the same but I just can't see that we need 8 players for 3 positions.

Fleck, Coutts, Duffy, Woodburn (might play as a second forward I know), Leonard, Lundstram, Evans, Basham can play there too and did on Tuesday.

Its likely that Wilder wants another attacking mid on loan as well - based on his previous interviews. I don't see Evans as being worth keeping onto if he was the one that was allowed to go because Wigan came in for him. I guess had interest only being for Leonard or Lunny that its possible either of those two could have gone instead, based on how they've played or how little they've played. For me Evans would be the one to go but that's just my preference.
Spot on apart from scoring two against Boro he's produced nothing of note.
Lunstrum will be a better player for us given time to develop. He takes a lot of stick but never hides.

By my maths we are left with

Fleck, lunstram, Leonard (who hasn’t been trusted and doesn’t look great) and an unfit coutts for the 2 in the middle.

Duffy who can’t play 90 mins and Woodburn for the AM role.

And Clark, sharp and mcgoldrick (fitness concern)

Holmes and Evans might have been average signing but at least they’d be cover. We better have some fucking good loan signings on the horizon.... we are risking a long long season here with a couple of injuries

Max of 2 more loans allowed in the match squad. So hopefully get a forward and mid on loan

I agree with you if we are going with the team that finished the game against Boro 4-2-3-1 with Leonard and Basham as defensive midfielders. Could be the right way to go until we get Coutts fit and gives us the added protection in front of the back four and some more steel and height. If we stay with the 3-5-2 approach and start Lundstram then I see the same mistakes in the first two games being repeated.

Seem to like that word don't you. Are you pork? Surely a Blade would never call one of our players a "shitcunt". Trot off.

Getting up at 6am to watch the shitcunts on Saturday actually. I'm a mega-Blade, going all that way to watch a bunch of imitation footballers.

And yes I do like that word. Just like you like starting some of the shittest threads to be found on this board on a regular basis.

I'm sure they'll be a loan replacement coming in soon, if we can get it over the line and if he is within our wage budget and if he doesn't think we're a **** of a club and if he can be arsed to move from whichever reserve team he's playing for or if he's not a regular member of his League One team and if the agent is struggling to move him on elsewhere
Yes I think we could easily get another body in, it might not be a footballer but he'll have a body and he'll be in

Guess Bryan can play midfield

I'm desperately trying to make sense of this window now

Why can't Duffy play 90 minutes?

Wigan are probably offering him a wage increase.
It certainly isn't because he was unhappy. Woodburn knows him well and has already said that Evans 'loves the place'

Good evening everyone, I'm unaware of today's activities, have we signed anyone ? If so who please.

Don't forget kean Bryan can play holding midfielder

Any youths breaking through? Did Slater go out on loan? He looked good last season.

Has he gone then or is this bollocks?

So we’re selling a 24 year old with potential to improve because we’ve got a 30 year old coming back from a broken leg?

Only at United!

Has he gone then or is this bollocks?

We'll probably know within the hour whether all the paperwork got through in time.

It's Wigan so they're hoping for good winds and fast pigeons.
