I don't really care who the sponsor is as it's the design of the shirt that counts!!. If it's a 70's style design then I'll be quite happy as we had some good shirts back then when I was a young lad stood at the front of the kop with my dad(RIP). Happy childhood memories!!. UTB

Here is an odd one. what colour do people everyone associate with us RE away kits me personally it's yellow and red but thinking about it We have only had two yellow and red away kits in my life time and Ive never seen the first in action as Inwas too young? I'd like us to stick to a colour scheme as a form of identity. Some of the away kits we have had I just don't associate with us
Yes, if asked I would say our traditional away kit should be yellow with red trim but I think we've played more in white. I like white with a red trim too so I'd be happy with either of those.

Just to clarify, BLUE IS A SOUTH BARNSLEY COLOUR NOT A BLADES COLOUR!!
I know we've had blue away kits previously, the best of which was the LAVER shirt in my opinion, but surely yellow is the best option, followed by white or black.
Do you think Wendy would have a red away shirt!? No, they've even done away with white stripes as a mark of respect for the champions!!!

In fairness our two 'blue' kits have been a very dark shade of navy, not the same colour used by the pigs (royal blue, although there is nothing remotely regal about them) and both looked decent. I've no problem with it.

Teletext? Bit 70's.
Suggestion for shorts sponsors
Marathon.
Lord Toffingham ice creams.
Amazin bars.

I'm going to be a tosspot and quote myself, but I counted up the information I could find easily, yellow just pips white.

Just out of curiosity I thought I'd tally up our away kit colours. Went on predominant colours, and only since the 70's.*

Yellow (including our 2 gold kits, and the 50/50 purple/yellow Avec kit) - 11
White (including black and white premier league shirt) - 9
Black - 5
Green (Lime/Fluorescent) - 4
Blue - 3
Orange - 1

Secondary colours were overwhelmingly red and black. Purple has 3 appearances and orange has 2, and brown (claret if you're being kind) and green both appear once.

So yeah, it's not as clear cut as a team like Arsenal's red/white home, yellow/blue away, but if you stick to yellow, white, black and red you're probably alright.

*some people's interpretations of colour may vary, I may not be able to count, so if I've cocked up, apologies.

Yeah but in the Yellow count you included Gold, which clearly isn't Yellow ;)

That's just from the seventies onwards though. There are quite a few on here that have been going to the Lane since before then. Although you might not have noticed as they don't talk about it much.

Admittedly, I wasn't overly rigorous

Excluding gold which I'd say is sort of dirty yellow, and including everything from the beginning, it's probably going to be white.

It might not be terrible - Using this years Kit and Sponsor style:

I quite like the typeface and shiz, it's just the fact that we have teletext on our shirts.

It might be quite funny if we go with it though, play it up. Like for all our football related news in the programme, call that section Page 302. 50/50 draw results in section 555 etc

I'm still waiting for the to reduce training and current home kit on the website, so I can pick me up some bargain trackies and shorts.

Scratch that, kit shorts are reduced. Off I pop, imagine my excitement!

Bournemouth let the sponsor have a say in the colour scheme and it looks sharp. Mind you, the sponsor's colour scheme is red, black and gold and not purple!

(I love purple BTW)
