Doing the Mind logo in the numbers is fair enough, actually adding it to the payer names looks crap.

No red on the back of the shirt is madness and the close-up on the sponsor looks terrible because the fabric of the shirt isn't smooth.

so is that squiggle on all replica and player kits this season? surely donating a fiver from each shirt sale would have been better, that looks annoying as shit

Having seen the kits up close, they look cheap and quite a bit naff.

The woven material is a nice touch, as is the v neck but the rest doesn't make much sense:
  1. The white back is awful and is in stark contrast to the front - like two kits sewn together.
  2. The white sleeves make for an overall feeling of far too much white. The black stripes make little sense either, there's next to no black anywhere else on the shirt.
  3. The sponsor looks even worse in person, yes the writing is darker than we'd feared but the material is cheap, amateurish, looks like it won't like 5 washes and is a large smooth block on a woven shirt.
So much potential, but they've knackered it up well and truly.

Fingers crossed for the away kit or waiting til next season.

Don't know what make you think it looks cheap. Looks very well made to me, the stitching of all the panels is extremely neat. Don't think the Ramsdens is going anywhere either. Can't see how it's any different to the Teletext or alpharooms material to be honest, looks like it'll go through a wash fine but it'll stick to itself if you fold it up like the others.

The back is too stark. Fully agree with that. I don't see what the issue with black Adidas stripes is though. There's more to a kit than the shirt, they go with the socks and shorts, and our badge.

It's a nice kit, might not be a nice United kit for everyone, but to say it's cheap or poorly designed is way off in my opinion.

Wow, look at the back of the shirt...Door Deals must be well chuffed! Stands out a mile and reads much more quickly than the name and number of the player. Amazing. Shocking. And shit. Still, it's just a footy shirt so in the grand scheme of things...etc etc

Maybe the more money they give United the bigger and clearer it gets.

The year 2032, due to the great aggregate and clay cock up of 2025, all buildings are now made of doors.

The richest company in the world, Door Deals continues its successful sponsorship of Sheffield United Football Club or "The Excellent Value Doors" as they're known, who currently play in the Door Deals Premier League.

The Door Deals Superstore Stadium is the jewel in the crown of the Door Deals empire, holding 85,000 fans, each with their own glazed access door.

And Jesse Lingard is still missing after winning the 2018 world cup

6/10 could be better. Don't particularly like the plain back or that 70% of the kit isn't red. Both sponsors are what I'd expect to see on Sheffield FC or Hallam FC shirts. But if they pay the most then fair enough. Its only for a season so no dramas.
It’ll look quite good with an open cardigan?

Good on ya lad. Those combined Sheff Utd/ England shirts are gonna fly off the shelves.

It's gets worse every time I look at it. I appreciate it's for charity but that squiggle next to the players names looks absolutely terrible. This is easily the worst home shirt we've ever had, I even prefer the diamond shirt to this, at least that one was red & white, this one is just a plain white shirt with a few red stripes on the front of it.

EDIT - The 125 shirt was terrible for a home shirt but it was absolutely fucking beautiful.

Sod it we may as well as just embrace the DoorDeals thing now. The back should just have a huge red door printed on the back with the player’s number on it. At least it would get some red on the back of the shirt.

It's not too bad from the front (but would look much better if the shoulders & sleeves were red).
However - the white back just completely ruins it.

I agree, it's looks alright from the front. Not keen on the white sleeves but if the back was striped then I'd be ok with it and I'd probably buy it.

I agree the white back is just bad but I think I could probably live with that..... The thing actually stopping me buying one for me and the lad is the God awful great big white box on the front with the sponsor in it. It just shouts out last minute deal or non-league team.

Surely it would have been better to delay release by a week and do the design work to just put a slight white border around the edge of each letter as per the Teletext Holidays logo had???

It's gonna be away kits for us two this year unless that's just as bad.

The white back actually surprises me every time I see it, even though I know it's supposed to be like that. It's like if you put Sky Sports News on or something and it came back from the adverts early and you saw the presenter eating a sandwich or effing and jeffing.

It's like it's a mistake. The front and arms are alright though.

Saw it in the club shop yesterday and it's without doubt the worst Blades shirt I can remember.

The sponsor's a joke and I didn't quite realise that the back is completely white.... and not even the numbers will be red.

But I know it must be hard for a small company like Adidas to make more than one striped shirt template.

Jokers.

"Technical partner, adidas, commented: "Our current design direction for the upcoming season sees us providing a plain reverse shirt treatment for Sheffield United, and our other partner clubs, who have stripes within their identity."

Has adidas's "design direction" put stripes on the back of the shirts of clubs who normally have single colour shirts? Thought not. Fucking idiots.

They gave Watford stripes, they haven't had proper stripes since 1923, and even then it was black and white stripes. They've never had a black and yellow striped kit.

Fuck knows what's going on over at Adidas.
