From the profiles of HRH when he came onboard he sounds a reight sporting fan and wants success like his interests in the USA team and recent purchase of the Belgian outfit.

Given a free hand I think HRH has big plans for the club in contrast to Kev bungling along in a market that gets financially further out of his reach.

In short HRH has plans for us. McCabe has plans for the money he will walk away with.
HRH was offered the club for £5m plus market value of the assets, all he had to do was sign and he would have full control by now, he chose not to. Doesn't sound like a big plan to me.

Me too, as it stands at the moment, I’m more concerned about where the Brooks money is residing just now....

He really isn’t walking away with any money. Whatever he walks away with will be a loss, whether you consider this his fault or not.

If some of you spoke about me the same as you did McCabe I would be building terraced houses all over the south stand car park and selling the freehold elsewhere
It's not a critisisum of McCabe I just think (and don't blame him) that he is nest building for his retirement. Whereas, HRH is empire building so maybe he's the better bet between the two, there again maybe not.
I want to be debating our signings and next season not who's right or wrong in the ownership battle or what the judge thinks.

I'd lean towards the prince

I think neither can afford us on there own

McCabe has had years to find a buyer and hasn't , time to give the Prince a go, I'd say he's better connected.

You are correct that he has been adding interest on his loans, (although not all his monney in the club is loaned and the shares don't attract any return).

Where your 'bleeding dry' is incorrect, is that the interest has just rolled up on top of the loans. We lose money so have negative cash flow and can't afford to pay him any of the interest.

He has protected his investment by adding the interest, to give him a bit of an upside if we ever got to the Premier. He could thenoffload for mega bucks, but he has hardly 'bled us dry'.

At the last year end, United didn't owe Kev any money. (Only HRH.) There was nothing to pay interest on.

We could do with a few of the Prince`s genuinely super- rich relatives to join him.
We could do with some daft Americans making a silly offer for Wolves, Fosun selling them and then buying out the Prince and the Pauper. They’re one of the few foreign owners who seem to know what they’re doing.

Do either of them think the club will be worth more or worth less if we end up back in League 1.
That’s a thought. If UTB get the shares and no ground and we then get relegated, it’s goodbye to the TV money etc and hello to running at a loss. See how long UTB are prepared to fund the losses for before giving up and going into administration. Then McBlade just buys Blades Leisure back for next to nowt, Mandy style.

Well neither have set out their future plans for us if they were to become the overall winner for this battle for control.

Aside from 1 or 2 random interviews over the few years he has been here, in which he talks a good one, the silence from Abdullah and his camp is deafening.

McCabe started talking and getting his viewpoint across (shareholders meeting?) towards the end of last year, funnily enough just as this whole situation started to break out - was it a manoeuvre on his part to garner the support of the fans because he knew the hassle he had stirred up? (Read - started - if that preliminary judgement was anything to go by).

Until one, the other or both actually come out and say to the fans and club “This is my vision for this club if I get full control. This is what I aim to do and here is how I will finance” ultimately they don’t have to have full financial disclosure. Just some proof that they can back up their plans.

Massive PR opportunity for both to be fair as ultimately it could sway the fans to back one camp over another, which in turn may force the one with the worst plan to back down/back out of the club. On the flip side if the one with the worst plan/vision got full ownership and the fans know it, it’ll be an untenable position and potentially they’d look to sell up and move on in any case because of it.

Leaving the fans in the dark is the worst scenario because it breeds rumours and speculation that can have an impact on the club overall.

Wendy never went into administration so not quite 'Mandy style. He did however persuade their biggest creditor, the Co-op Bank, to take a big haircut.

Somehow their deluded fans still see him as some sort of saviour when he just held his nerve, bought low and sold at about market worth.

McCabe gets all the vitriol for pumping tens of millions of his own cash in, while some dodgy Serb bizznizzman gets lauded by their lot for turning a very nice profit .

Who said owt about t’pigs? Tha’s obsessed. It’s not the only club he’s bought. Weren’t Leicester in admin when he bought them? They often are.

You are indeed correct that the cheating bastards down the M1 went into administration but I thought that was around 2002. If so, Mandric was still doing his dodgy dealings at Pompey with 'Arry and his dog.

They're probably as good and as bad as each other to be honest, Kev is a Blade so that's nice but it's obvious that we're unlikely to have the Blade trifecta forever, and from what I've read from the Prince, particularly when it comes to Wilder and shit he seems to realise that we've got it quite good at the moment and are on the up.

He's not a Blade but loves sport no doubt so I don't think he's wanting to knock the Lane down and build a Saudi Tesco or a block of flats.

The worst thing that could happen has happened, they've fell out. One or t'other doesn't really matter, we'd probably be reyt either way.

They need to get this sorted quickly and while they're doing it not cut their noses off to spite their faces and in any way damage the club.

Don't think the fans should take sides other than the side of Sheffield United Football Club on the pitch.

I think you’re right. Similar to the pork, I think they were in financial difficulty again when he took over. I don’t think he paid much for them.

McCabe sold £160 million worth of talent for 30 million quid.

Says things like

“Think Liverpool “
“Isn’t Chris a lucky lad”
“no bigger Blade than me”

Overseen 1 year in Premiership via Warnock.

Spent rest in league 1 and championship.

The Prince being quiet. Doesn’t matter. Has he got the money to back us? Who knows.

Whatever, we are and never will be backed properly until McCabe just leaves the Blades and let’s
Someone else give it ago.

Silly post.

So Walker was worth £50m as a 19 year old, with 8 games under his belt back in 2009?

Hindsight is a wonderful gift.

Silly post- to be honest Coco your hindsight quote says it all.
McCabe sold every great asset way way to early. I think McCabe has sold every talented player with in 1 season of breakthrough. Imagine if you and Utd had the foresight to think maybe just maybe if we’d gone for it and kept these players we’d be up in the Premiership.
