I think I do need a doctor at times when it comes to the Blades.
Just when things look good the rug gets pulled.

Good job we’ve got fans like you who know all about the financial side of our football. I’m going to start looking at the financial info online as it’s so 100% ya Bell end.

No good looking at just what's online. It needs to be accurate. For example, someone could read your idiocy and believe it to be true. There are enough fuckwits out there already.

Anyway Piggy, where was it you got obliterated? On here, BladesMad or 606?

McCabe has had his time , time to change ..
The full reasoning would take too long to type .
Let's move on

I love that comment. I’ve never heard of BladesMad?? Oh and I must be a piggy for wanting the Blades to be bigger and better than they are. I do feel sad we have fans like you but hey as I said you are a Bellend and I hope one day you see the light and want more from the mighty Sheffield Utd.

Are you saying you've never heard of BladesMad or asking the question of me? Do you know if you've heard of it?

Enough reason there to believe you're a grunter.

Well where ever you come from and what ever your angle is you`ve certainly a lot to learn. I trust that you are a Blade and good lad for that. However, do your homework re all things Blades for your own interest and education before you cross swords with knowledgable punters on here. Please also be respectful if you wish to be treated the same way.

No I don’t get your comment on me being obliterated from BladesMad or 606. I’ve never used message boards before. After many many years supporting the Blades I thought I’d give this a go. As for you calling me a grunter well your a bellend.

Knowledgeable posters?

We are all Blades and all have our own views.

Unless some of you are at actual board level or part of the actual club payroll you really shouldn’t believe you know more than me or any other actual Blades fan.

I do show respect to all I feel deserve respect.

A one trick pig. (Other insults are available you know).

I look forward to your input on financial matters.

Well you certainly don't know who uttered the phrase "Think Liverpool".

So your claim tends to fall at the first hurdle. Blade or not.

I couldn’t possibly have any input into financial matters at the Lane as I’m not involved in board matters.

What I care about is the football side and from what I’ve seen the past few years is mess up after mess up since Premiership relegation and after finally finding a great manager in Wilder the off field crap is again going to ruin a good chance of getting back into the top league.

I really hope the decision to sell Brooks will fund new signings but again like with past McCabe history I can not see it.

That`s fair comment. We are all Blades and have our own views. I don`t believe I am better informed than anyone else, but I do know others know more than me. I`m an old git, so probably know more than some younger ones about some aspects of the club. I respect the views of others unless they become abusive. I would caution against getting involved in that.

Read the threads about the Court case re the Brooks money. It's not good reading.

I can agree wholeheartedly with that. I thought at the time of the 50-50 split between KM and the Prince that it was an almost certain recipe for the kind of dispute we have now. We have a manager who needs and deserves to be backed, especially at this moment in time.

No contest. How many foreign ' Messiahs ' have come into the English game and destroyed the club they've come ' to take to the next level.'?
Like him or loathe him. Kevin McCabe has kept this club going. I've not agreed with everything that has gone on, but I for one am grateful for what he has done.
Last year the King of Saudi put a load of the big hitters in his country in a luxury jail for fraud. What happens if the thinks HRH is up to.no.good?
A couple of years ago crude oil went down to about $27 a barrel and Saudi was about to fall on.It's arse. It recovered, but what happens if it drops again?
2012 different country but Jacob Esan?

Silly post- to be honest Coco your hindsight quote says it all.
McCabe sold every great asset way way to early. I think McCabe has sold every talented player with in 1 season of breakthrough. Imagine if you and Utd had the foresight to think maybe just maybe if we’d gone for it and kept these players we’d be up in the Premiership.

And if a player wants to leave because his head has been turned by an agent promising him the earth and a massive pay rise what can the club ultimately do?

Sure, keep him at the club against his will as he is under contract, but then have a disruptive influence around the club (who’d still be taking a wage).

Give your head a wobble, if someone comes along and says “hey kid, you’re in league one, we are in the premiership, you’re on £2k p/w now, but come to us and we will put you on 20k p/w”
What would you do in that situation? Every person would always take the massive pay rise to secure their and their families future.

It’s been said a million times over. There is NO loyalty in football.

We may have sold quality players cheaply by today’s standards (god, by the standards of the day as well in some cases) but there is more than one person to blame for that.

We have ALWAYS sold our decent players for seemingly lower amounts, not just the McCabe stewardship.

I agree with the sentiment that if we maybe had kept the players we had sold maybe we could have headed to the premiership. On the flip side they could have suffered a double leg fracture or ruptured a ligament somewhere and then we’d be shite side worse without any money and a crocked player who had potential.

I think McCabe has sold every talented player with in 1 season of breakthrough

Maguire made his debut in 2011and we sold him in 2014. That's 3 seasons by my reckoning.

Lowton made his debut for us in 2010 and was sold in 2012. That's 2 seasons, and additionally we loaned him to Ferenchvaros in 2009.

Jagielka made his debut in 2000 and was sold in 2007. 7 seasons.

Tonge made his debut in 2001 and was sold in 2008. 8 seasons.

Still, why let the facts stand in the way?

I do show respect to all I feel deserve respect.

Don't be surprised then if a few on here do the same.

Coming on here when you're knobbed off after the Ingerland game and shooting your mouth off, is hardly likely to endear you to the regulars.

There are plenty of anti-Kevs who I disagree with, but can still have a sensible debate with. The ranters tend to get short shrift from many of us on here.

Have a think.

Come back when you've calmed down or respond immediately and call me a 'bellend'.

Your call.

That's something to think about.
When you look at the PL clubs, especially the Man City's, Chelsea's, Liverpool's you get to see great players, sometimes win trophies - but as a fan, could you get used to the constant churn of great players?

The club needs direction and a cash influx, so who would any of us blades fan's want or think should be allowed to make that happen. McCabe has rightly kept us afloat for the past 20 odd years and alot of thanks and credit has got to go to him for doing just that. I think the time has now come for him to shut up shop and move away from the club. It's time to make the next move and that's make the club financialy secure for the push to get where we should be and that's the Premier league, give the Prince what he wants and support him in any way possible moving forward. The financial backing he's got would transform us into top contenders and a stable life in the PL. If McCabe stays its swings and roundabouts " trying " and struggling away for a life in the Championship or if it doesn't work out we will be back in the 3rd tier who in the right mind amongst us fan's needs that. It's time to move onto new chapter's and start afresh, we've got the best manager to take us forward to get where we will end up in time to the PL. Its time to trust the Prince and end the, if we did this or if we did that, i think us fan's have had enough of doing thing's like that selling our best player's and again " trying " and expecting miracles all the time season after season if McCabe stays this will be the norm for however long he stays on, and i don't know about how rest of us fan's feel but ive definitely had enough of all this. It's time for change now more than ever.

The problem with KMC is he wants his money back.

He will never get the money back he has put into the club.

Until he realises this then we will just keep treading water.

He's said several times he doesn't want all his money back - that's why he's put so much in in the form of shares.
He wants someone who will invest in the club/team.
But don't you think he should at least get a fair price for the structures/real estate that is actually present here and now?
(I'm assuming that's what the present argument is all about)

I can agree with most of that. However, I`ve yet to read anything which suggests that the Prince has the financial backing to transform us into top contenders and a stable life in the PL. (PL stability should be achievable ok with the riches of that league, granted a good manager like CW).

“Who’s side are you on?”

Last time I was asked this I was 7 years old and it was in the school playground.

Can't they just draw pistols at dawn, winner takes all. Then we can get on with the coming football season.
