Player Suggestion Josh king

Maybe. I'm surprised by some of the names people have suggested. The clubs transfer policy this season has been very transparent. Young players, ideally for value and can develop with the club. I don't think Kiefer Moore fits into that category or Josh King.
Doesn’t mean that policy can’t be stepped outside of for a specific signing if it’s the right one for a particular purpose though. Pragmatism.

I read somewhere or maybe it was from Hecky that in a change to the original policy, it is accepted that we could sign older players if they are for an immediate impact? Maybe I've got that wrong though.

Maybe they'll be one older one come through the door but I don't believe it will be any of the names mentioned but we'll see. Things can change in an instant on transfer deadline day.

ITK or propaganda or rumour? Hard to tell with you

We’ve made 10 signings aged 26 and under, with an average age 22.6. I’d say we’ve achieved our goal of this transfer window of signing young players we can develop.

I don’t think it really matters now if we sign one more player who’s in his 30s.

But didn’t Hecky also say he wanted a bit of experience, or have I got that wrong? Also if it’s only a loan, he’ll be heading back so she really doesnt matter in this case

I mean it was your interview so you are probably correct but did he not say young and resale for permanent transfers and then anything goes for the loans (paraphrasing)

We've used our 2 domestic loans. Moore will sign for Millwall anyway

i think hal is playing this down deliberately i think we will bring an older striker in tonight and my money is on josh king and despite lots of negative posts on here i think this could be a very clever signing by hecky

That transfer policy has struggled to improve the first 11. Only archer below 24 who has done so. I think we would massively benefit from adding more experience to the team.

Hecky just been interviewed live on SSN sez we’re all done unless we lose a player. Wrapped it up with PA
Marsh leaving ? Hecky been cryptic with it and another one in to replace marshy guin

Guess that’s that then. Good window all things considered shame we couldn’t get that final one done but happy with what we’ve done.

Think the other thing that worries me is that who's coming off the bench up top? Osula or Traore, neither of which are proven, it's not like having Billy Sharp coming on the ruffle some feathers as we had last time out when we were in the PL. We also had times when McBurnie was coming on as sub with McGoldrick and Mousset starting for example. We've only got two, just two, proven strikers. Not proven at PL level, but didn't expect that either. We will regret this in my view, I'm assuming the loan move for Thomas has scuppered another loan perhaps or we just don't have the budget to bring in another. I've largely been impressed with the transfer window incomings but this leaves me very deflated quite honestly.

Free agent market doesn't look too good either. Unless we gamble on a pudding like Morelos.

Hopefully Brewster or Jebbison will be able to contribute at some point soon.

Neither look imminent though do they. Jebbo with mystery illness and Brewster with what appears to be another injury. Neither I would say is a game changer even if fit. We needed more in my view, especially if McBurnie gets injured or Archer then we're really short. Just my view though, I do like Traore but he's raw in what I've seen thus far. He's going to be a good player, already he looks a threat but signing someone like Josh King who to be honest I wasn't that excited about with give us the experienced option off the bench with 20 to go and some cover. A did think a foreign loan would happen, Balde was another mentioned of course.

This is what people don't seem to grasp over this transfer window as we demand the club sign more players. We have an injury list and those players are still part of the squad.

The sooner we actually tackle these injury issues the better. We are at a point we had to get a loan player as cover for another bloody loan player.

The club can't just keep signing players because a quarter of the squad or more are injured nearly all the time.

Also, if all our squad were fit it would actually make it easier to ship some of them off out on loan or sell them.

We are light in a few areas and if Archer is a obligation to buy for villa of we go down that's 3 loan type signings which probably leaves us pretty strong for next year (contracts depending) if we do go down

I agree, at the moment we probably could do with one more striker. Hopefully we’ll be in a decent position in January and sign someone then.

We have to hope both McBurnie and Archer stay fit and are good enough at PL level and that Traore and Osula are able to have an impact off the bench. Personally I would have loved Moore to come in as he would give us some competition up there, or someone else. Find it disappointing that we've not brought in another for sure.

Brewster has had some serious injuries, is that the clubs fault for example? When you say tackle the injuries that indicates that the club can do more? I'm interested as to what you mean by that, not being an arse when I say that, or not trying to be. Jebbo is ill so that's just one of those things. Have we not enough physios or something? I know the training ground is often criticised but a lot of these injuries happen in matches and then you've got Lowe standing on a sprinkler at Derby which is just a freak injury.
