I think this is possibly the case. As we're so light at CB and Gilchrist can clearly do a job there (/it's his natural position).

Gilchrist is 6’ according to google, Robinson is 5’ 11”.

So don’t see an issue playing Gilchrist at centre back from a height perspective anyway

Its not just height, Robbo is built like a brick shithouse, Gilchrist is built like a teenager. He's done well at right back but i just don't think he has the physique at present to be a modern day centre back.

Anel is quite a slim build and that’s not held him back.

Until he plays there regularly it’s difficult to know, but of what I’ve seen of Gilchrist defensively this season I think he’ll make a decent centre back.

Having said that, I still think we need to sign another centre back
