Regardless of the league they play in and their recent performance, Rangers are an enormous club that can pay big wages compared to all but a handful of Championship clubs.
Without parachute payments this is exactly the kind of bin we’re stuck with …. The little I saw of him last season suggests Souttar is strong and quick… and happy to do the muck & nettles stuff. I think he’d add some physicality to us… which we definitely need.

Bit of an over generalisation, players decline and deteriorate for numerous reasons

Danny Ings, Ben Mee, Dean Hammond, Kalvin Phillips etc etc all played at a high level for years and won various medals.

Doesn’t make them good signings.

We need to either sign players on their way up or still near their best and stop chucking money at players who are already well over the hill.
