We've got a £60m revenue (ie cashflow) reduction this season. Releasing high earners and reducing the salaries of those remaining will fill maybe £30m of that, the rest needs to be found somewhere.

If the takeover collapses then he will have to stump up the money for at least a couple of signings that will cost a fee.

Joe Worrall or a similar leader on the pitch is desperately what we need. Remember last season - 1 goal conceded and we collapsed every time. We need leaders on the pitch…. Players with a backbone. The 2018/19 promotion team had them all over the pitch….Henderson, O’Connell, Baldock, Basham, Egan, Fleck, Sharp, Etc -

They're where the money will be going. Worrall and Forest will wait, but I worry we might miss the boat on Burrows, though Rocket remains confident.
El Acounto says if we don't file the papers soon that the takeover won't help in this window. I dont know if that changes things or just makes the Anel and Souza sale a lot more important.

We’ve got the cash for Worrall but Nuno wants to asses all his players before making a final decision, Coventry have had talks with Worrall but wages are a huge stumbling block which will really open the door for us to dive right in and nab the fucker from under their noses, that would be absolutely hilarious.

He played 45 minutes and didn’t wear the captains armband, he’s off somewhere and I think it will be us, he’ll be a solid signing if he ends up here.

I think we're the hold up.
Purchase is takeover / sales dependent.
Same with Harrison Burrows.

They need to offload players from their budget to stay within FFP rules - so Worrall will be leaving either on loan or for £4 million - which is what they prefer. However right now we do not have that money.

I am sure Wilder wants to bring him in - probably as captain as we still have a big lack of leaders in the team yet again. That was a big problem last season - concede 1 goal & bang & bang bang - game over. Not saying we’ll be doing the same in the Championship but we still need to bring in leaders on the pitch as a matter of urgency.
