I was looking on bobs board (chesterfields forum) they seem to think he's gone for a medical today for us.. take it with a pinch of salt of course.

The showers can be a rough place, but once you've bonded it becomes less hard, in time you mostly slip into the back-ground as the new lads take most of the fall out!

There's some innuendo in there. I thought Frankie Howetd was dead.

Ooh missus!

Don't be shy lads, come and try the soapy eyes tap hunt!!;):)

Whatever folks' views about the individual players being signed, got to say this has been one hell of a pro-active transfer window.

Now, who gets sold?... ;)

Yep, interesting.

I assume Carruthers, Hanson and O'Shea are not coming in to warm the bench? So who gives way?

Re: Hanson and O'Shea - I have the opposite view, I think they are coming fully aware that they will begin as an option on the bench - if they impress they naturally get their chances.

Carruthers - is a brilliant problem to have, will make team selection very tricky, but that's a sign of a good squad.

Yeah, interesting times.

You'd have to assume 1 if not 2 forwards out. Leon on loan? The long-suffering Matt D shifted out too? (All this assuming the board aren't going to go full Blackman-plus on us & flog Billy...)

In terms of assets, you'd look at the midfield - might Carruthers be a straight swap for someone (with the back up of O'Shea being able to play inside as well as wide)?

And, if money does need to be raised, you'd reckon on Ramsdale being the prime young asset.

But - who knows? Maybe this time we'll get through without a controversial sale.

If so, you'd have to say: what a well-managed window from the club.

Post on Chesterfield forum saying he's signed with us on loan till the end of the season.

That will involve a decent loan fee though because he's out of contract at the end of the season and it would make no sense to them without one.

It's basically the same as a permanent transfer from their point of view so I don't see why the loan fee would be any less than a transfer fee. Unless they're absolutely desperate for money and there are no other takers on a permanent deal.
