If he can prove any sort of fitness by the end of the season, I'm sure the club would offer him some sort of rolling contract, or based on appearances, on a lower wage.

If any other club offered him a permanent contract though, even in the lower leagues, he'd be daft not to take it knowing the knee might give up again any day.
It's a nice idea but might have insurance implications for both parties.

We've all got our fingers crossed for him and never say never.

What I've always found bizarre about his injury is the total secrecy surrounding it. We never found out what actually happened in training other than generic comments like 'a training ground incident' 'a collision with Henderson'

Plus we never found out what the actual injury was, was it ACL, MCL, broken patella, etc etc. And we never found out what happened when he broke down again, did he cone back too soon, did the operation not work etc

That all makes me think there's going to be a legal case at some point

This is what Wilder said at the time:

“We train as we play, I can’t get them to change. Jack had a collision with Dean (Henderson) trying to kick the ball out of the back of the net in a phase of play and went down.”

“Jack, we’ve got a decision to make. We’ve got a specialist report but we’re hopeful it will be short-term."

Our last homegame vs Preston,if we,re up by then, give Jack minutes at the end to give him a proper send off. If he never plays for us again he,ll be up there with the best we,ve had. Although we all want him back and we all want a miracle.

The rumour end of last year he was going to be back training this month. Although he even said this month he is still not out of the gym. :(

Nice thought but it would jeopardise his insurance claim I'm afraid.

Getting someone in to sort that bit of blown plaster?

I know absolutely nothing, but considering how many people badger him to death with that question every dayt, it's a strange thing to say if it's not related to his future as a professional footballer.

Unless he and AG are having a baby. He posted the DNA emoji and she replied with it.

Imagine the ovation if he ever made it back.

Bit of a strange post/pic if it's not something related to his fitness

You would have thought that he would have retired and the club claimed on their insurance if there wasn't hope that he'd return eventually.

What would you give for a fully fit JOC at LCB for the remainder of the season - it would almost guarantee promotion!

My money's on he's either starting some kind of fitness/sports science company, or they're having a baby.

Not sure what that is in the photo…mebbe it’s the grass he’ll be back on soon 🤷‍♂️🥳
