Wilder now has basically got a mini pre-season to sort this shit out, with players coming back as well.
What does he need to address?

An actual identity and style of play that the team can identify with. That means playing people in their proper positions.
Drop the favourites. I remember the League One days when Wilder said it didn’t matter who you were, if you weren’t performing you were dropped. It worked. He hasn’t stuck to that mantra for years.
We’ve all seen some absolutely appalling displays from certain players, yet they keep getting picked because he brought them in, they cost a fortune, or they’ve apparently got the “right attitude”. The list is a mile long.
He also needs to drop the stubbornness and knock that chip off his shoulder. If something isn’t working, change it.
The mentality when we go in front needs sorting as well. Sitting back and trying to hold onto a lead has been our downfall for over three seasons now. Where has the courage gone?
He’s turned us into a cowardly team at times. No confidence going forward, scared to take risks, just waiting for something to go wrong.
Is that a reflection of him? When the going gets tough he looks beaten himself, then storms off down the tunnel.
Fitness and culture is another one, that might take longer than three weeks to sort, but once again this team looks nowhere near fit enough and the professionalism has been poor. That comes from the manager.
And enough of the excuses about the players he’s brought a lot of them in.
You can also argue that we haven’t brought players in where we needed them most- he brought them in. Recruitment again has been a shambles and nowhere near what you’d expect from a properly run Championship club.
For me, he needs a minimum of 6 points from the next three to suggest we’ve actually turned a corner. But the performances need to improve as well.
We’ve got 9 points, but let’s be honest, they haven’t come from great performances. It’s been turgid, depressing and at times a disgrace to watch.
He’s got three games now that we should be getting results from, players coming back and proper time on the training ground. For me the three games are massive, could be season defining, if we don’t pick up 5 or 6 points, I think a relegation scrap is inevitable.
